Bantwal, Oct 2: The dead body of a man was found in a decomposed state near Kapumajalu in Vittal Padnur village here on Monday October 1.

The deceased has been identified as Radhakrishna (29), son of Parameshwara Madivaala, resident of Kulalu.

The incident came to light when Diwakar, a resident of Kapumajalu, was walking in his fields and found the body near a small pond.

He immediately informed Vittal police station. As per the information received, a bottle of poison was found near the pond and various marks were found on the body.

A woman who visited the spot informed the police that the body was his brother’s.

Madhav Kodlu, Vittal circle inspector and his team visited the spot and carried out the investigation. Police with the help of locals retrieved the body from the place.

A case of suicide has been registered at Vittal police station.

Abdul Kukkila, Vittal gram panchayat president, Madhava Mave, Siddique Saravu, Lathif Parthipaadi, Hameed among others visited the spot.
