Yeddyurappa Severs Ties with Eshwarappa

Shimoga: Oct 3 (DHN) : Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday publicly declared that he would not associate with Deputy Chief Minister K S Eshwarappa in the future.

“I dissociate myself from him. We can never be together in the future. Eshwarappa is the prime example of people who change their attitude after getting political power. Soon after becoming the deputy chief minister, he indulged in vindictive politics,” said Yeddyurappa, addressing reporters in the Basaveshwara temple at Gandhi Bazaar.

“The postponement of the inauguration ceremony of the Mahatma Gandhi park in Shimoga city is evidence of this. The park was developed at a cost of Rs 10 crore and it was scheduled to be inaugurated today. An invitation card had been prepared for this. But, Eshwarappa has cancelled the event just because I would inaugurate it. This is the height of vindictive politics.”

Yeddyurappa said he had never indulged in personal vendetta while he held public office. He claimed that Eshwarappa was responsible for stalling public works in Shimoga.
“I released ample funds for the development of Shimoga city represented by Eshwarappa, when I was chief minister. I feel disheartened now as all development projects in the city have come to a standstill.”

The BJP government is nearing the end of its term and will face the ballot by May next year, Yeddyurappa said. He reiterated that it was unlikely that he would become the BJP’s state president or Karnataka’s chief minister once again if he continued in the party.

KSE remains calm

Eshwarappa, who was also in the city, chose to remain calm despite Yeddyurappa’s comments on their frayed relationship. “There is no need to respond to all his statements. I am not here only for that purpose,” he told reporters.

He said the Deputy Commissioner and the City Municipal Council president would announce the date for the inauguration of the Mahatma Gandhi park shortly.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa said legislators resigning over the Cauvery issue would not solve the problem. Instead, they should meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and explain to him the drought situation in Karnataka, he said.

Prakash, Yeddy, if given time will loot whole of India. He had limited time and withing that time he looted enough. With regard to MMS sleep & waking up in France, it is not during Orissa Riots French Premiere intervened, but, during very unfortunate serial attacks on minority worship places and on innocent Christian Nuns and lay men by BJP animals with the help of few BJP pimps in Khaki in Mangalore. Yeddy never bothered to clear up false cases filed against our innocent youths, but, it was the greatness of DVS who did a great job. Yeddy has curse on him and he will suffer and lose mental balance for ever.

    Peter,
Well our discussion was yeddy as a person and not regdg BJP/Congress/JD(S). I reiterate Yeddy is a small fish compared to maga monsters continuing in power whether its congress or BJP or other party. He is far better as a person compared to many many corrupt politicians of today. Only thing he is alleged to be by lokyukta that he is involved in various illegal activities though they are comparitevely much smaller in nature in front of other mega mega culprits.
As far as cong/BJP as for me both did not protect minorities in various incidents. During Orissa riots on christians our manmohan Singh got up from kumbakarna sleep after French premier asked the state of christians in Orissa. By then unfortunately many poor and downtrodden christians were killed by communal Bajrang Dal /Communal activists. Though many attacks on christian institutions by communal forces linked with bjp in the state congress has not made any issues and were totally silent. Again i am just commenting on good or bad and I have nothing to do with these political parties. Tomorrow you may see me praising someone frm congress(if at all anybody left to praise?) or JD(S) Kumaraswamy.

Prakash, well, you do not belong to BJP. But, I am a staunch supporter of Congress, not because they are not corrupt, but, because, they do not cause misery to weaker section of society for their selfish gains. They never destroy age old monuments & support criminals to attack minority worship places. Did anyone benefit from demolition of monument except for loss of thousands of innocent lives & existence of hatred among our own Indians ? Delhi is very far Prakash. No one leaves his own house on fire and runs to extinguish fire of his neighbor's house. Everyone knows BJP is working on whose command and what is their hidden agenda.

Again I do not belong to BJP nor a supporter of Yeddy. Hope its clear.By the way
I think you are doing some partiality within thieves. When you see small thief you get very very angry but you look to be soft and sober towards bigger thieves in Delhi side. Why is that? For your infn theres a lot of difference between a biggger thief and a smaller thief. They loot different amounts. Smaller thief is less harmful whereas bigger thief tries to finish you from root.We can see several small thieves in daily life robbying papers, pens in the office and paying bribes etc etc.

Prakash, a thief is a thief, whether small or big. If you justify Yeddy's misdeeds by highlighting others mistakes, I don't think it is fair. Everytime we elect leaders hoping something better from them than previous leaders & not worst from others.

Along with Yeddy there are other leaders whom you must be supporing are also thiefs and equally responsible in bringing other communities in Karnraka.Telugu and Tamils are there since ages and its not a creation from Yeddy alone. You must be fare in yr comments whether he is your friend or enemy

Mr. Prakash D'Souza, you have every right to sympathise & support Yeddy. According to my opinion, greed & selfishness of Yeddy is the reason for Karnataka's lost glory. He brought Kannadigas under the rule of neighboring people. Visit Banglaore and experinece how our rich Kannada language has become a Masala of languages of neighboring state languages. It is difficult to understand whether it is Kannada or Telugu as both languages are mixed & our Kannada has become a victim. It is becuase of Yeddy all unwanted groups have mushroomed in our State & we have been divided on religion. Where is the love & peace we had few years ago in Karnataka ? Is it necessary to sow hatred & enemity among our own Kannadigas using religion ? When in power, he made every drama visiting temples and donating generously. Was it not to political stunt to please majority ? Did he pay any donation from his hard earned money ? Feeling pity for such a fraud person who did not spare cheating even God is a sin. He should & will pay for his sins.

I am not BJP but must say few words about Yeddy. Yeddy was indeed a good and straightforward CM.Indeed a good person but angry sometimes. Only fault was that he was not smart enough to hide his illegal deeds if any.Others specially in the central govt ministers frm Karnataka though very much more corrupt were smart enough to take precautionary actions for their deeds.Unfortunately in our system whovever caught is a thief and whover not caught is a good servant. Let me wish Yeddy good days in future whatever he does.I do not think he deserves the trauma he is going through today. His colleagues were corrupt and today they are in power and Yeddy is OUT! Sorry.

What Yeddy feels is genuine. Yeddy feels he helped many but he is not getting the support he needs during his current bad position. Yeddy must realise full world is so. Once they fill their pockets they do not bother to think who helped them. Most of the people who took help from him are his backbiters today. Sorry to see Yeddys state today. Yeddy is a tall leader and needs better treatment .

In principle both spoiled their name, since Yeddy lost his prestige healing to everyone by denotification and Eashwar got wrath of everyone by not healing their demand. Finally we can say that “Obba Kottu Ketta. Innobba Kodade Ketta”
