Udupi, Oct 4: “Congressnondige banni, Badalavani thanni”, a state-wide constituency level programme organized by the KPCC was inaugurated in the Kapu Rajeev Bhavan by KPCC secretary, M A Gafoor.
“The BJP has been giving a repression to the people of the state from the past eight years. For the first time, such a high level of corruption mafia has been carried out. There is a need to give a complete picture of this to the public. The individual who is ready to follow the preaching of the congress and join the party is most welcome and that is the main aim of this programme,” said Gafoor.
Answering to the question if Yedyurappa is welcomed by the congress, Gafoor answered that Yedyurappa has been involved in lots of corruption cases and many cases are still pending. Hence he is not worth to be taken into the party. “But the High Command decision will be the final,” he added.
Ex-minister Vasanth V Salian, Kaup block congress president, Gangadhar Suvarna, ZP member, Ida D’Souza, TP member, Amitha Poojary, Divakar Shetty, M P Moidinabba, Harish Kini, Amruth Shenoy, Naveen Shetty, Naveen Chandra Shetty, Shrikar Suvarna and Bhaskar Padubidri were present among others.
