Karkala: Dead Newborn Girl Found in 'Chicken' Parcel

Karkala, Oct 5: In a shocking incident, the body of a newborn girl was found in a parcel at Bajagoli here on Thursday October 4.

The dead baby was found in a Hosadurga-Dharmasthala government bus which arrives in Bajagoli at around 6 pm.

It is said that an unknown person handed over a parcel to the bus driver stating that it is chicken and he did not want it as he was a vegetarian.

After reaching home when the bus driver opened the box, to his utter shock he found the dead newborn girl and soon informed rural police station.

The body is kept in government hospital in Karkala.

Police are investigating the case.

    It is an unbelievable incident. Whoever did this should be buried alive. No kindness to human being who just came to this world and look at the fate. I don't think there was a CCTV camera where by they could have had a clue of the person who handed over the parcel to the driver.

    The police should first take the driver for investigation as there is some very fishy point here how can he take this statement for granted and take it home unless he was mentally retarted where in this case he was not as he was driving the bus, so he must be invovled in this too, if the police want to investigate there are ways but they will think it is a waste of time and it will just disappear as another news item in our society

    IF THE KILLING OF FEMALE INFANT GOES ON AT THIS RATE THEN WE HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO RETURN TO THE ANCEINT DAYS OF MAHABHARATHA, WHICH MEANS - FIVE BROTHERS HAVE TO MARRY ONE GIRL LIKE PANDAVAS. SUCH WILL BE THE EXTENT OF SHORTAGE OF GIRLS IN THIS SO CALLED LAND OF SANATHANA DHARMA.

    Very disturbing news! Whats happening to our peaceful land? If there was 2KG beef instead of the human body in the parcel, I'm sure the 'Moral Police' would have investigated the case even before the news reached the local police. If the KSRTC driver excercised a little common sense, the culprit could have been easily traced. Probably he was dreaming making a delicious chicken biriyani for dinner.

    its indeed a bad news, instead of decreasing in the crimes it has been growing such kind of crimes. Here this1 is very shocking news, the person who did this job, has a painless heart, now murders, infanticide became a serial crime in india, this should be stop asap. Those who are involved in this case, must be hang, this case should be solve soon.

    Very sorry state of affairs! ghastly! bit mood off after reading this on wkend. Both the driver/C'tor and trace that veggie parcel-giver passenger and should be put in lockup and beat up and made their bheja-fry, body-fry and chicken-fry out of them until they tell the truth!

    In our DK-Udupi dists, we had a very good system of sending Pooja-Pradas, Fruits, Jasmine flowers, Coconut, jack fruits, etc, through the known Bus drivers from village to City or City to Village to our relatives, which was very Convenient and functioning quite smoothly since decades based on just goodwill. But few days back it was Live Python snake and now a dead baby girl in the Parcel handed over to Bus drivers. Now onwards any Bus driver will refuse to take such parcel and the unique system of our district will collapse.
    As far as getting rid of new born baby-girls or female foeticide, it is high time we learnt lessons from what is happening in Rajasthan, Haryana & Punjab, where there is rampant female-foeticide, and the Girl:Boy ratio has come down alarmingly to 850:1000, against Kerala's ratio of 1008:1000, and in those northern states there are many boys who do not get girls to marry, which has created lots of dangerous Psychos & mental patients among men. Such days are not far off in South India also. Better wake up in time.

    Driver you are up to something beyond anybody's imagination. Are you a kid to accept a parcel from an unknown person who says that it is chicken and offers you because he is a vegetarian?     Female infanticide and foeticide is the highest in India (Indian Cultural influence of Dowry and other related problems) and China... It takes various forms... Who cares for these things... Moral police? You have a point to note... or as stupid as you are you may even glorify this evil practice. How I wish you moral police did policing at weddings to stop dowry... Girl children are treated worse than cattle..she would have been better off born as a cow!

    Very disturbing news indeed. What happens in such cases? I plead daijiworld to report further when investigations have reached a conclusion. The thing is, if the culprit is not brought to justice, offenders will be encouraged to do foetus abortion and it will seem that it is easy to get away. I understand this is a newborn baby which makes this crime all the more heinous. On another level, we should start educating our youth, women & men alike. We live in a world now where women get jobs quicker than men, sometimes making more money. I know many ladies who are the only hope for bread & butter in the family. That for me is not heroic, its starting to be the new world order. People should start acknowledging and accepting facts before they make decisions.

    Hey guys...please check if the driver is the main cause for the baby's birth. Looks like girls relatives intentionally gifted this parcel to the driver...Cops please enquire the driver...Now a days people will have illegal affairs but when it comes to truth they escape. Baby RIP!!!

    No baj rang dal, ram sene or rss will not fight against abortion or dowry. Is is our culture and fundamental personal right. According to Hinduism girl is always a burden to the parents. Pity on Indian Hindu girls.

    May babies soul rest in peace. what is the sin of this baby before looking @ this beautiful world its no more.From olden day girls have no respect and they are treated like commodities.From her childhood to till she become women she walks in the path shown by her parents in childhood n later she acts as her husbands wish.Then why people are not letting her to live.Now girls are coming up in every field not lesser than men.Then i cant understand why these people are killin these innosense.I hope the police will find the cluprit and punish him as soon as possible.

    Unbelievable...How could stupid KSRTC driver accept parcel from unknown person for granted?Did he think for a moment or came to his mind the parcel could be explosive?Bajagoli is Naxal prone area...How could he become state owned bus driver?Do he have regards to the passenger's safety?

    DK/Udupi slowly but certainly turning to disturbed/lawless districts as fast paced development and urbanization takes place.we,Mangaloreans considered ourselves as educated and civilized doing such heinous things indeed unbelievable.THE HEADLINE IS MISLEADING,INFACT,KSRTC DRIVER FOUND DEAD NEWBORN BABY BODY IN FREE PARCEL......
