Even with the hot sunny open ground venue the spirit of our great Tuluvas did not mind participating in this whole day event which saw all generation of people from young to old enjoying the festive mood in their own way.  It happened in the open grounds of Indian High School, Dubai, Oud Metha Road on 5th of October, 2012 from morning 9 AM and concluded at around 12 midnight..

Witnessed by more than 3500 Tuluvas which is one of the record gathering one could have ever seen in the history of Tuluva festival in UAE spooled a total contribution of more than Rs.12 Lakhs donatation to Saanidhya Special Needs Residential School, Shakti Nagar, Mangalore in one platform itself. For the first time ever the entry tickets for this full day programme got sold out by 2.30 PM and hundreds of people had to return back disappointedly. While apologizing to those who did not get an opportunity to witness this event, Nama Tuluveru UAE promises to have their next year's programme in a much bigger venue and better weather condition as requested by the attending dignitaries.

The programme started sharp at 10 AM with inauguration in a true Tuluva style welcoming the guests at the entrance of the lush green ground which was decorated with beautiful welcome sign and standing black elephant statue. Children, Ladies & Men of all the three faiths greeted the Guests in their own traditional way with live drummers, trumpets and colourful umbrellas walking towards the main stage in a procession. All the guests along with the welcoming group arrived on the stage and it started with prayer, reading of Geeta, Bible & Quran by children of three faiths followed by inauguration opening of 'Pingara' and distributing the same to everybody present on the venue. My heartiest congratulations to, Mr.Sarvottam Shetty, Mr.Shodhan Prasad and all the working committee members involved, on putting together a fantastic show at the Tulu Paraba. It was a well coordinated effort from all. Being born and brought up in Mumbai, I neither can speak nor understand the language. Even then I thoroughly enjoyed the whole program. It brought all the communities of Karnataka, irrespective of the religion, under one umbrella which was really very inspiring and also soothing at the same time. I pray to the Almighty that all communities from Karnataka, irrespective of the religion, continue to stay united and provide support to anyone in times of need.

I agree with Mr. Suraj's, Dubai Comments. This should be the lesson learn for us when we organize a Multi Community Program. When we have share holder from all community for this Multi Community Program's we have to arrange a program were all people should enjoy. It should not be like only one community people left over untill the end of this program. Other than this the program was excellent. .
I appreciate the sprit and the energy level of Mr Sarvatam shetty and Mr Shodhan Prasad and many more organizers.
    Thank You.

    @ESequeira, Kudla
Thanks Mr.Sequeira for accepting sentiments. How nice it is to see when we get together like this without any prejudice, hatredness. This looks like family fair rather than Tuluvera Parba.Indeed we can express our sentiments or pass our comments here in this column only.In reality nobody wants to preserve this identity/practice back in our motherland.May be it is because of lack of exposure outerworld or lack of proper knowledge or lack of proper education.God only knows.Aording to my experience only politicians are the real culprits/villains to ignite the fire just for the sake of vote bank. All these years there were no communual disharmony, communual hatredness, communual clashes why all of a sudden?Where from all these decended?Whichever the party or religion you belong, try to be a human being first, respect people of other religion. No religion whether it is Muslim,Hindu or Chriastian has taught you to disrespect others, kill others, rob others. All the religion teaches the same.Do good things in life, respect others, help poors/needy.Sorry if anybody felt hurt.Only thing I want is be you a Hindu, christian or Muslim. But try to live in harmony like brothers and sisters.Life is precious.May God save all of us.

Excellent program. Must say one of the best programs we attended in our 15 yrs of stay in Abu Dhabi. Hats off to all the organisers and participants and thanks to all those who put up their hardwork for the show. The sumptous food was one of the main attraction. Apart from that the highlight were the various shows put up. The Saanidhya show was really heartwrenching, the Tulu drama 'KateeldaAppe Ullaldhi was simply brilliant especially with the wonederful acting and the excellent special effects. The beauty of the progam was all Tuluvas coming under one roof forgetting their caste, creed, religion for a beautiful show and worthy cause. All in all worth the time spent and we all came back smiling with beautiful memories of our region. Thanks to one and all. 'Jai Tulunadu'. May GOD Bless all of Us !!!

Its was a wonderfull function, nice to see all religion, all caste and all sub caste people together in this function. I was really happy to see the program done by Special school children which is owned by Mr. Vasanth Shetty which made my eyes fill with tears. i heartly appreciate Mr Vasanth for dedicating his life to these childrens. All the function was good and was going on well, but i was disappointed in only one thing that is, I understand and i have heard about "Kattle Da Amma Ullathi" is a good drama. But this wasn't the drama which is to be shown in this function,Since we have people from other religions in this function a good comedy drama or other should have been the option in this program. Our Mayor was the 1st person who left her seat once the drama started. Anyway i am sorry, but this is the fact which we have understand when we plan for multi religious function.

    Dear Shekar Moily, Padebettu,
I fully share the sentiments expressed in the latter part of your comments about lack of brotherly feeling among people of Tulunadu these days. The reason is, and many would concur with me, communal poison has been spread since about thirty years now to kill the amity among different communities in Tulunadu.

Kudos to the organizing team for bringing together all community people on one platform with a feeling of fraternity and unity in diversity.

My friends and I went to partake in the parba as well wishers and witnessed some of the stage programmes in the morning session and all those cultural programmes were although wonderfully excecuted, but we really felt bad looking at the open stage and the striking bright sun. Performing under the bright sun had caused a great deal of discomfort to the artists and the audience as well.

As we had to travel back to Muscat in the afternoon we couldn't regrettfully stay back to enjoy the afternoon session. I am sure, the afternoon session must have been quite pleasant, enjoyabe and memorable.

Our best wishes and congratulations to Mr. Shodhan Prasad and the utive Committee for taking up this herculean task.

very heartening and touchy. Very happy to see the solidarity showned by our people. there is no descrimination of religion. Like this program must be organised in back home. Now a days what is going on there, it become neccessary to reunite them. Anyways congrats to the organisers and all who participated in it.....

I'm overwhelmed to see the true brother and sisterhood of different community in Dubai. but I'm sad and shame to feel that the same kind of spirit missing in our native rather the communities indulge and purposely create a confusion to bring disharmony . I would like to urge all my brothers and sisters in mangalore which ever community you may belong have respect to them. No religion says kill your brother but if your religious sentiments are hurt then there is a right way to protest and get justice to it. so its my prayer to all the mangaloreans to learn and accept the spirit of our brothers and sisters living in dubai.
    May God bless you all.

When all section of the people of the region comes together, that itself creates a mixed colour of vibrant cultural and religious rainbow. The society as a whole becomes excited and happily participates in such programs.
Indeed, such inclusive and grand 'Tulu Parba' Creates Festive Atmosphere around the region.
    Jai Hind!

First of all rounds of applause and hearty congratulations to all the organizing committee members, participating organizations, kootas, samudhayas, sponsors for making this Tulu Parba Festive atmosphere a grand success.Immensely impressed the way
how they have organized the even like this without any flaws. One thing eating my mind is when we are so closely associated/mingling with other community people in foreign land without any disparity like brothers and sisters, why the same feelings not existing back in our home land?
