Udupi: Poacher Caught Red-handed with Deer Pelt

Udupi, Oct 6:
DCIB police arrested a man for possessing deer pelt on Friday October 5.
 
The accused has been identified as Prashanth Poojary, hailing from Koteshwar.


 The police seized deer pelt worth Rs 85,000 and a car from the poacher.
 
As per the information received, Prashanth was caught near Kings Court hotel in Brahmavar when he was plying from Kundapur to Udupi with the deer pelt.
 
The investigation was carried out under the guidance of SP Boralingayya, DYSP Dr Prabudev B, DCIB inspector Praveen H Nayak along with the other officials Yogendranath, Vaman, Uday Kumdar, Ratnakar, Ashok Kumar, Dinesh Shetty, Rajesh Kokkarne, Sathish, driver Chandrashekar.

    sad, Deer is an endangered speicies and people should not kill it.I am sure there may be many other poachers in Kundapur and surrounding areas killing these innocent animals for money and meat.
