Abu Dhabi: KCO Ladies and Mixed Throwball Tourney on Nov 16

Abu Dhabi, October 10: Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO), Abu Dhabi, will be organizing ‘KCO Throwball Rolling Trophy (ladies & Mixed) Tournament 2012’, on November 16, 2012, at Abu Dhabi Indian School grounds.

This is yet another opportunity for the sports lovers to give vent to their sporting talent in Throw ball during this pleasant season.


The tournament will be conducted in the following categories:
 
1.      Ladies Throw Ball Tournament - Seven aside
2.     Mixed Throwball Tournament -   Seven aside

KCO president, Michael D’Silva, expects this to be a very exciting event, in view of the fact that a number of reputed throwball teams hail from this region. He has extended a warm invitation to all the sports enthusiasts to participate or witness this event and support their favorite teams.
 
Interested teams may register themselves for the tourney by sending in their entries to KCOevents@yahoo.com. They can also contact any one of following members for more details :

Vivek Serrao 050 6715752, Valerian Fernandes 050 4140872 or Suzy Fernandes 050 5460007 before October 31, 2012.

This tournament is open to teams comprising members from Karnataka state residing in the UAE.

The tournament will commence at 8.00 am.

The teams will be divided into pools and matches will be played on league basis. The pools will be drawn on the spot in the presence of the team captains. Rules will be the same as in the last tournament and will be available on request. Players will be also briefed about the rules prior to the tournament.

Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners up teams. Prizes will be awarded for the best overall player and smasher of the tournament.

KCO President Michael D’Silva, envisages an exciting day with thrilling matches as reputed teams of UAE are expected to participate in the tournament.  Everyone is invited to witness the matches and support their favorite team.

The organizers will serve free breakfast for the participating teams and lunch will be served for all the teams, invitees and guests.

    its very sad that KCO is not conducting volley ball tournament, it was the only one organisation of costal region who conducted this volley ball before, i dont know what is the use of mixed throwball?? in dubai many units conducting volleyball... if possible plz keep volley tourni as well fo men,thanks
