Mangalore, Oct 10: Noted educationist Grace Pinto, MD, Ryan International Group of Institutions stated on Wednesday October 10 that the Ryan International School will begin in Mangalore soon to cater to the needs in the field of education.

Speaking to reporters at ‘Meet the Press’ an interactive programme held at Hotel Ocean Pearl here, she said that the Ryan International Group of Institutions, the largest group of privately owned schools in the country has a network of more than 120 schools.

The Ryan Group has made his presence in 40 cities in 15 states in the country. There are three schools in Bangalore and a new school will be opened in Mangalore shortly, she said.

She informed that 400 children from the deprived class were adopted by the group in Pondicherry and Haryana.

Asserting that Mother Theresa is her role model, Pinto said teaching is not a job, but a ‘call’ for her. Pinto who started her journey as an educationist is a native of Bajpe in Mangalore. Pinto recalled the initial day of opening a school with mere 30 students in Mumbai.

National Educational Excellence Award was presented to Grace Pinto by National Education and Human Resource Development Organization, in the year 2012 for the excellence in the field of education.

Mumbai based journalist Chandrashekar Paletthady, was also present during the programme.

Congrats and welcome to Mangalore. Please give us more information regarding the school as many parents request us to suggest the best international school for their children in Mangalore. Myself with M.sc., M.Ed. degree and 20 years of teaching service want to see more opportunities for our people to get a fair chance to educate.

    Good News for Mangalore!
Finally you have thought of Mangalore and its people.
    All the best.
My humble suggestion is don't target the cities, pls target the villages, and backward villages, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
