Foul Play in Kannada TV Actor's Death?

Bangalore, Oct 10 (DHNS) : The police took Surendra Babu, husband of TV actor Hemashree, into custody on Wednesday, following allegations that she was murdered. Hemashree was reported dead after she took ill on her way to Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday.

“She took ill on our way to Anantapur and I brought her back to the City, but she was declared brought dead at the hospital,” the police quoted Babu as saying.

According to doctors at the Forensic department of the Victoria Hospital, Hemashree had suffered injuries on her head and face.

“The head injury looked more like it was caused due to assault and not due to accident.
Samples have been sent to the forensic lab to find out if there was any poisoning involved,” said one of the doctors. The results of the samples are expected in a week’s time.

The police said they registered a case of ‘death under suspicious circumstances’.
Nagaraj, Hemashree’s father, has lodged a complaint alleging that Babu had murdered his daughter. Based on this, the police have taken Babu into custody and are interrogating him.

Asked why his daughter was not taken to a hospital in Anantapur, but driven all the way back to Bangalore, Nagaraj reportedly told the police that she had been complaining for some time now about her husband and had even mentioned more than once about staying separately. “Her injuries also suggest that he may have killed her,” the police quoted Nagaraj as saying.

While her father has blamed Babu for the death of Hemashree, some of her friends have blamed her parents for her death. They said that her parents, without having properly enquired about Babu, had her married off to him, against her will.

Forced marriage

According to the police, Hemashree had complained at more than one police station that Babu had lied about his age before their marriage  and that her parents had forcibly taken her to Tirupati and got her married.

She had lodged complaints that she did not want to live with him, at the Ulsoor Gate women’s police station, Cubbon Park police station and Chennamanakere police station.

Who said Parents will never be ENEMIES of their own Children ???

In India daughters have been always used as a Sale-able commodity by greedy Parents in this male dominated society. We find thousands of such cases of greedy parents indirectly being responsible of daughter's death by forcibly marrying their daughters to old man or rich criminal in exchange for money or property.

Few days back in this Daijiworld itself some people had commented that Father will never be the enemy of his daughter. That case was pertaining to a 18 yrs old girl kept under house arrest for eight months by father for loving a boy of own community.
Now in this case of Hemashri's father himself is found to be number one enemy of his daughter. Inspite of knowing that Surendra Babu is a known criminal with more than 27 cases against him, still father forced Hemashri to marry criminal surendra against her will and caused her death.

In the old days, whenever a prospective bridegroom came from the UK or USA,the prospective parents-in-law would rush to meet him at Bajpe airport.Nobody knew whether this bridegroom had a 'live in' back there.Only after marriage and going back to the US or UK would the bride come to know about this affair. Also to add, there was no internet at that time.If at all you wanted some info, you had to book a trunk call and wait for many hours.

They say marriages are made in heaven but managing a marriage is on earth , which could be hell for some !

Hemashree was independent, working woman, she could have walked on her parents. Even her parents forced her to marry, it does not mean that babu has the right to abuse her and kill her.

Hemashree first disagreed.Left her husband, the day after marriage and proclaimed herself free. What happened later/ why did she go back? Why were they travelling to Andhra? A girl who had openly accused her father of blackmailing and threatening her,
now files a complaint with the police? Something fishy here. Saw her 'father' on a TV channel-Say was not a honest character either!! These JDS wallahas have taken a fancy to TV N Film heroines! God only save them if JDS comes to power! Naganna are you listening or reading?

Saw her husband photo yesterday in TV9. He looks like her father. Seems he has paid 50 Lakhs Rs to her parents to get her married. She married him unwillingly due to force from parents.

What a bad news.Along with hemashrees husband even her parents must be arrested.Without knowing completely about Babu and for forcefully making hemashree to marry him.Shame on those parents who think girls are the big burden for them and forcefull make their daughter to marry a unknow person even if thier daughter is not ready to marry that guy.May hemashree's soul rest in peace .
