Sullia: Country in Need of Uniform Civil Code - Dr Kalladka Bhat

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (VM)

Sullia, Oct 14: There are many questions facing the Hindu community today. There is a process going on to divide the country. Our own people are becoming strangers while outsiders are being welcomed. For a country which treats people equally, a uniform civil code should be introduced for its growth, said RSS chief Dr Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.

He was addressing a massive Hindu public awareness campaign held under the ageis of Hindu Hitarakshane Vedike in Subramanya here on Saturday October 13.

Speaking further, Dr Bhat said there is a need to protect Hindu culture and its people. "Psuedo secularism which has divided the country into majority and minority and sown the seeds of differences among people should be rooted out. Our country by supporting conversion and extremism has failed to give protection to the Hindus," he said, adding that Hindus should work together and support each other.

The convention was inaugurated by Sree Vidyaprasanna Theertha Sripadha Swamiji of Subramanya Math by lighting the lamp.

In his address, Swamiji said the country has lost unity due to the fissures in the community on various issues. In our country there is security for all religions, but the majority (Hindu) has less protection when compared to the minorities," he said.

Speaking on Hindu culture, he said it is nothing but pure water in which Hindus are the fish. "Foreign culture is milk, in which fish cannot survive," he said, adding that pluralism is important, but a culture which destroys pluralism is undesirable.

Kuntaru Ravish Thantri in his speech said that religion is first and then comes politics.

Prior to the convention, there was a procession taken out from Kumarashwara till Subramanya Car Street in which hundreds of people participated.

Prashanth Bhat Manila welcomed the gathering, Vinaykumar Kandadka compered and Skanda Giridar, president of Hindu Hitarakshane Vedike delivered vote of thanks.

Uniform Civil code is not only required for all the Indian citizens but also it is required for all the Gods of Hindus.
Because there is discrimination not only among human beings on the basis of Caste creed, but also discrimination is made among Gods by Priests & Devotees. One God is considered as Superior to another God. One God is depicted as more Powerful than other. One God is shown as subordinate to other, Male(Husband)-God is considered as Superior to Female(Wife)-God. Brahmin Gods are Superior to Shoodra Gods. Some have Human form and some have animal form. You say - Vishnu is number one God and Shiva ranks 9th that is inferior to 7th & 8th ranking Garuda & Sheshanaga as per your Maadhva Scriptures. Some times Gods fight among themselves to decide their superiority. All this foolish non-uniformity in the concept of God itself is required to be abolished and Uniform Code needs to be applied to Hindu Gods first before bringing Uniform Codes for Human beings of different Religions, because the Multi-theism is the biggest reason for disharmony within Hinduism.
Also, Kalladkaji first bring Unity among Udupi Matadhishas and then think of Uniform Civil Code.

    God help our future generation.
This kind of extremist RSS activists will destroy the peaceful atmosphere of the country and the region.
All likeminded people should condemn him and his out dated divide and rule philosophy. Britain, the creator of the doctrine, ‘Divide & Rule’, during their regime in the third world countries is paying the price for their misdeeds.
Please remember, “You reap what you sow”. The best example is our neighbour Pakistan, extremist monsters that they had created to attack the Indians, are killing their own people and destroying the economy of their future generation.

    RELIGION IS OPIUM TO SOCIETY.

India very badly require Uniform Civil Code but people like Dr Kalladka Bhat are spoiling to enact this as Law through parliament, due to their hatred mindset towards the minorities. If he had only said we love muslims, christians who live in India and they are like our own brothers and as one big family, there would have been change of mind set with all the participants in that so called public awareness campaign of huge gathering. He and his so called group, are not interested all Indians to live in peace. Otherwise how come he will have followers and listeners

Hindus are peaceful and are my good neighbours. Your hateful speech will not spoil our bond.

Today majority of my neighbours have changed their living based on modern age irrespective of religious belief. Liquor, non veg food, western style dress, watching English movies etc etc have become their part and parcel of life.

Uniform Civil code is very important. One should learn what is secularism from Turkey and study its Constitution.
Dr. Bhat, Stop hatred speech but use the language of love, peace, happiness. It will happen. Otherwise it will be just a dream.

Any person can give a speech since he is not having any 'RESPONSIBLE POST TO LEAD THE COUNTRY' so, thier job is to create the 'DIRTY AWARENESS' among the citizens.

THE DISPUTABLE PROBLEM OF ENFORCEMENT OF UNIFORM CIVIL CODE HAS AGAIN CROPPED BY KALLADKA PRABHAKARA BHAT. IT IS EVIDENT THE CONSTITUTION HAS GIVEN FREEDOM TO EVERY RELIGION TO FOLLOW THE SOCIAL CODE OF THEIR RELIGION. NOBODY CAN PREVENT THE ACTION TO CURB MISSUSE OF PROVISION OF LAW. IT IS ALSO NOT ADVISABLE TO GO AGAINST THE PROVISION OF LAW. BUT  PRABHAKARA BHAT STATED THAT MOST OF THE HINDU PEOPLE GETTING CONVERTED IN TO OTHER RELIGION. DR. AMBEDKAR HIMSELF CONVERETED IN TO BUDDIESM. BECAUSE OF SUPPERSSION OF LOWER CLASS PEOPLE BY THE UPPER CLASS PEOPLE.
IN SOME PARTS OF THE OUR COUNTRY THE WOMEN ARE PUSHED INTO PROSTITUTION IN THE NAME OF DEVADASI. RICHER CLASS PEOPLE ARE ACCEPTING THESE LADIES ILLEGALY IN ADDITION TO THEIR LEGAL LIFE FOR THEIR PHYSICAL  ENJOYMENT. IT IS BETTER LET HINDU HITARAKSHANA VIDEKE AND PRABAKARA BHAT USE THEIR GOOD OFFICES TO GO THROUGH STUDY OF THIS HEINOUS ACTIVITY TO FIND A SOLUTION TO THESE DEVADASIS BEING PUSHED IN TO LEAD OBSCENE LIFE.
DR. AMBEDKAR HAD CLEARLY STATED THAT THE UNIFORM CIVIL CODE CAN NOT BE ENFORCED BY LAW UPON THE CITIZEN OF INDIA.

though i do not agree with everything that KPB says....i do agree with uniform civil code....if u want India to be secular then there has to be one law...period...u cannot scream secular and have one law for hindus and one for muslims....i am talking about marriage laws, divorce laws, trips to haj subsidy by the taxpayers, marriage age, reservation quotas etc....what a proud moment it was for every indian when at same time we had a hindu woman president,a sikh primeminister,a muslim vice-president,a woman of lowercaste a speaker and so on...tell me which country can get more secular than this..is it Saudi,UAE,Egypt or Russia..not even the oldest democracy..the USA...yes they have black president but not a woman or a non-christian person...our national flag explains fundamentally who we are...orange for hindus, white for christians, green for muslims and chakra for buddhists sewn by the thread of all other faiths....for the ones who denigrate lord Parashuram i have this....lord Rama and Krishna were not born to brahmin families, yet yet they are worshipped even by brahmins....most of the sages were not born into brahmin families...they became learned by their own merit....even the grandmother of pandavas and kauravas was not a brahmin...sathyavati....she was a fisherwoman....so know ur facts before making irresponsible comments.....

Today we go to US, UK or any Western counties, we see lot of Indians. Also Middle East countries, there are lot of Indians. Most of the Indians have become legal citizens of those countries. While these pseudo people support Indians living in other countries, I don’t know how they don’t support Non Hindu religions in India. Today, we see lot of politicians of Indian origin in other countries. They have become MPs there. Also Fiji had Prime Minister of Indian Origin sometime back. Then why not Sonia Gandhi become PM of India? Let me know if they don’t support NRIs or Indian origin people living abroad.

If Hindus raise voice for their rights, they are labelled 'COMMUNAL' by Congress party and their aides.

However terrorism and conversion activities are well accepted by this country.
