Mangalore, Oct 16: A 19-year-old boy died after a truck rolled over him in front of Mulky railway station, here on Sunday October 14 evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Prasad Devadiga.
The incident took place when a truck carrying harvesting machine was plying from one field to another. As per the information received, Ganesh was standing behind the truck directing the driver to avoid touching electric wires, when the truck rolled over him.
He was critically injured and admitted to a nearby hospital, but he died that night.
Ganesh was a computer diploma student of St Mary’s ITI College in Udupi.
A case has been registered in Mulky police station.
