Kundapur, Oct 17: India's first Solar HCPV power plant and LED street light was inaugurated at Kollur by state BJP president and deputy chief minister K S Eshwarappa here on Wednesday October 17. The programme was jointly organized by Kollur zilla and panchayats and Shri Mookambika Temple.

Addressing the gathering, Eshwarappa said that BJP national president Nitin Gadkari has assured the party high command's support to him as deputy CM and state BJP president, and that he will continue to hold both the posts.

"We will continue our good work and will win the upcoming elections, and work towards social welfare," he said.

"The major issue facing Karnataka in recent days has been electricity, and the only solution to improve the current situation is to generate more electricity from the available resources. We should think about generating electricity from solar, wind and water. One such measure has been introduced and inaugurated today. It is a matter of pride to the state," he said, adding that solar is a better source for electricity than water.

He appealed to union minister for corporate affairs and power Dr Veerappa Moily to release grants to Karnataka, as this is his birth place and he has certain responsibilities towards his state.

"It is a great thing that the union minister is from Karnataka and he is the ultimate person to solve the problem, not as a Congressman but as a Kannadiga. BJP has introduced solar electric systems of 5,000 MW at Bellary, 1,500 MW in Raichur and 1,000 MW in Udupi. A 40,000 MW project has been sectioned to national thermal power corporation at Bijapur, but the work is progressing very slow," he said, urging the central government to speed up the work.

D H Shankarmurthy, chairperson, state legislative council, Byndoor MLA Lakshminarayan were present.

Speaking to mediapersons, he said that on Monday October 15 he had held discussions with Nalin Kumar Kateel and Prahlad Joshi about the internal conflicts dogging BJP, and had come to a decision that the BJP high command's decision on Yeddyurappa will be supported by all.

"I will not react or comment high command's decision about Dhananjaya Kumar," he added. Dhananjaya Kumar was on Tuesday October 16 expelled from the BJP for a period of six years.

Virtually BJP accepted the fact that the present Govt's days are numbered and there is no future for BJP in Karnataka.Under the circumstances,Ishwarappa is next backward community leader to lead the party and perhaps to give back to back answer to BSY's attack on BJP.In the initial days of BJP gOvt's inception in Karnataka, some of BJP's sworn supporters are cribbed that BJP will rule another 50 years! With in 4.5 years everything gone dead wrong and even there is no person willing to take BJP President CHAIR.Hard to believe but 100% true .

Ishwary is continuing as Party president by DEFAULT as there are no takers for President Post now, since Party President will have to take all the blame for humiliating defeat of BJP candidates in next Assembly election, due to loss of Veerashaiva votes.

As all BJP people are convinced that now BJP will lose in next Election due to Yaddy-Lingayath factor, no one wants to Head a losing Party.
