Bangalore: Overdose of Chloroform Killed Hemashree: Medical Reports

Bangalore, Oct 18: Medical reports on the death of popular Kannada TV actress Hemashree have suggested that chloroform was the cause.

Highly-placed police sources have also confirmed the same.

It is said that Hemashree's husband Surendrababu had a marital conflict, after which he planned to take her to his friend Murali's farmhouse in Anantapur.

He came to Hemashree's house in Banashankari on Monday October 8 night and using chloroform, he made her unconscious while she was asleep. He then took her in his car, with the help of driver Satish, to the farmhouse.

It is learnt that he made her unconscious with chloroform every time she woke up, as a result of which she lost her life, claimed a higher police officer, who did not want to reveal his identity.

Following this revelation, the police have traced the pharmacist who sold the chloroform to Surendrababu. Driver Satish is yet to be traced.

However, Surendrababu reportedly told the police that he had no intention of killing Hemashree. Also, Murali was not in the farmhouse when Surendrababu took her there. According to his statement, Surendra stayed in the farmhouse and told the caretakers there that his wife was ill.

Next day, Murali himself called Surendra and asked him to take his wife for checkup. By then, driver Satish had been sent back, so Murali made arrangements to send a car to fetch the couple from his farmhouse. Surendra took Hemashree to a hospital in Bangalore, where she was declared brought dead.

    Looks like all concerned were
'in form' and made an 'uniform' attempt to use 'chloroform'on the unsuspecting victim! Her parents too I think were 'hand in glove' with the operators. All of them should be brought to book.Imagine using chloroform repeatedly without knowing it's consequences!
