Mangalore: Bakrid to be Celebrated on October 27

Mangalore, Oct 19: Eid-ul-Adha, or Bakrid, will be celebrated on October 27 as the moon of Dhul Hajj was sighted on the night of October 17, stated a press release.

As per the press release by Y Abdulla Kunhi, president of Juma Masjid and Idgah, the announcement was made by Khateeb of Zeenath Baksh Masjid V K Sadaqatullah Faizi in the absence of Qazi Twaka Ahmed Musliyar.

Ullal Qazi Assayyad Abdur Rehman Kunhikoya Al Bukhari has made a similar announcement, said U S Hamza, president of Ullal Jumma Masjid and Sayed Madani Dargah committee.
