Udupi, Oct 20:  Vruksha Kala Udupi organized a one day clay sculpture camp, at the Palemar Pinto Villa in Padubidri.

The camp was organized for the rural children in particular. On this occasion Nagabushan Rao informed the public on the ill-effects of harmful pesticides and agrochemicals to humans.

Manipal sand heart artistes Venki Palimar, Srinath Manipal and Ravi Hirebettu exhibited clay sculptures depicting the Endosulphan effects. They also imparted knowledge on sculpting.

More than 130 students took part in this event including the parents who actively joined in the programme

Margaret Pinto, Jyothi Pinto, Nagabushan Rao, Ananthraj Prabhu, Sathish Devadiga were the main guests at the occasion.

Gururaj Sanil briefed the attendees about the activities of Vruksha Kala organization.

Balaram Bhat, Narendra Nayak, Ramakrishna Kamath and Deepak of Vruksha Kala organization were present at the occasion.

Boregallugude Manjunath compered the programme.

Manipal Sand heart artists Venki Palimar, Srinath Manipal, Ravi Hirebettu, pleaded to the government through their art. They requested for compensation from the government and donors for the victims of endosulphan.
