Kundapur, Oct 20: Karnataka Dalit Sangharsha Samithi(R), (Bheemavada) Taluk Samithi and Dalit Shreyobivraddhi Samithi kendra Samithi Basrur jointly organized a protest in front of the Gram Panchayat Basrur on Friday October 19 at 11 am.
The protestors claimed that discrimination has been meted out to daliths in providing them the basic facilities.
The protest was held at 11 am with slogans against gram panchayat alleging its officers of being anti dalits.
They urged that the atrocity case be registered against the gram panchayat officers for evacuating the shops belonging to dalits and avail title deed for the residents of Janatha colony in Basroor Gram Panchayat limits.
Udaykumar, Chandrashekar S G, Govind Margoli, Mahalinga and K M Gopal among others were present.
