Doha, Oct 21: The huge turnout of the 14th Annual Blood Donation camp hosted by Indian Forum, Tulu Koota Qatar at Hamad Medical Corporation on 19th October 2012 ended up by 50 plus members donating blood in just 3 hours.

Around 300 people who attended the noble cause with only 50 members were eligible to donate the blood after routine checkup including 5 ladies of the forum. .

A symposium highlighting the importance of donating blood was addressed by Dr. Vishnu Bhat who gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation.

The president of Tulu forum Mr. Seetharam Shetty welcomed the gathering, the special needs and the event co-ordinator Mr. M. Iqbal Manna compered the event while the Cultural Secretary of Koota Mrs. Padmashree Shetty proposed vote of thanks.

Prominent members from Indian Expatriate community, Mr. M. I Farid, Mrs. Milan Arun, Mr. Syed Abdul Hye, Mr. Habibul Nabi, Mr. Syed Abdul Qayyum, Karnataka Sangha President Mr. Mannangi, Bunts Qatar President Mr. M. Ravi Shetty, SKMWA President Mr. Abdulla Mono, KMCA vice president Mr Fayaz Ahmed, Former President of Karnataka Sangha Qatar Mr. Arun Kumar, Former Presidents of Koota Mr. Ramachandra Shetty, Mr. Divakar Poojary and Mr. Prakashchandra Ajila , General Secretary of Karnataka Sangha Qatar Mr. Deepak Shetty and several prominent members from Indian Expatriate community joined the event.
