Kasargod: Man Accused of Killing Perla Couple Denied Bail

Kasargod, Oct 22: The district additional sessions court rejected bail plea for the prime accused in the murder of the Perla couple.

The accused Imran Hussain, a resident of Sagar, Shimoga, was taken into custody by the crime branch police on April 22, from Nelamangala in Bangalore.

Srikrishna Bhat and his wife were brutally murdered on the night of October 9, 1993. Imraan was absconding after the incident. The police successfully arrested him after 19 years.

He fled from the scene with the gold jewellery and was later found in Mangalore in the guise of an astrologer.

He was under judicial custody till October 10 after which he applied for bail.

The next inquiry will be conducted in November.
