Bangalore: BJP Leadership Should Put Stop to Yeddy Threat on New Party - DVS

Bangalore, Oct 22 (PTI): Former Karnataka Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda today said the BJP leadership should put a stop to B S Yeddyurappa's constant threat to float a new party despite being a member of the party.

"The BJP leadership should take a decision to put a stop to Yeddyurappa's statements of floating a new party in spite of him being a party member," he told reporters here.

As a national party, the BJP leadership should not delay its decision, Gowda said, adding it has tackled murkier issues in the past and should do so now too.

The leadership could either solve the issues raised by Yeddyurappa through talks or take a decision in the matter, he said.

"It is not right for any leader, being in a party, to speak of floating a new party and claiming the support of many BJP legislators who would follow suit," Gowda added.

BJP won't kick out BSY, because it may cause sympathy for him and he may get some seats due to the sympathy factor. It is waiting for him to go out on his own. BSY is also daring BJP to expel him, in order to get the sympathy of people, which is why he is not leaving on his own. So, it is a waiting game. If by December 2012, BSY does not float a new party, then his bluff will be called and people will start to ignore him and he will become history thereafter.

Yeddy made it clear that he is no longer representing BJP party! There is no question of putting pull stop as he is already damaged party's prospectus (BJP) in Karnataka.Under the circumstances,In Karnataka, BJP feels the heat of BSY's distance towards BJP and he may destroy the official BJP and in the later stage may return to mother party to show who's who.

Yeddi has no self respect. He should be kicked out of BJP. If he still continues then in the next election BJP will not come to power.
Yeddi on his own can not do anything with the new pary he will not win even 1 seat including himself. that is why he is still not going out on his own.
For BJP to come to power againn they should kick both Yeddi & his friend Eshwarappa & project Gowda as the leader and next CM candidae

I have been saying in these columns time and again that the BJP is a party without a backbone and has a so called High Command with absolutely no command! If they could expell a senior leader like Dhananjay Kumar from the party a few days back, what's stopping them from taking appropriate action against this joker Yeddiyurappa for his constant threats to float a new party? This clearly goes to show that they are a bunch of spineless clowns!
