Mangalore: Vivekananda Sports Club Presents Memorable Musical Nite

Vivekananda Sports Club presented an entertaining musical nite on the eve of Navaratri celebrations in Padua High School Ground, Padav, Nantoor here on Saturday October 20.
 
Performances by Naushad and Group and dances kept the atmophere alive.

Corporator Roopa D Bangera presided over the the formal stage programme. Addressing the gathering she conveyed Navaratri wishes and lauded the organizers for marking Navaratri celebrations in such a special way.
 
Vivekananda Sports Club arranged the event in aid of dialysis treatment, and for uplifting needy people in the society. The club, started four decades ago by young boys who were playing cricket together in Padua play ground, has grown by leaps and bounds, expanding its horizons, adding new vision, and embracing causes that are relevant.
 
The musical nite was organized to mark the Navaratri celebrations under the social service initiatives of the club, and the income from the event went to the above organization towards funding its ideal of helping for dialysis treatment to lead a normal life. Financial help was handed over to the deserving persons during the programme.

Sportspersons Saloni, J Anand Soans and Prasad Shetty were felicitated on the occasion.

Sri Sri Umesh Jogi of Bhadrakali Mata, Austin J Peris, Club president Vijay Bhat, secretary Vikram Nair and Donald Fernandes were present.

    That was an excellent Programme. Helping for poors and disabled is a gods work which was done by vivekananda sports club .
