Mangalore, Oct 22: Those who have been following Karnataka politics and Sandalwood cinema may well be aware of former CMs of Karnataka the late Ramakrishna Hegde, the late J H Patel and H D Kumaraswamy acting in Kannada movies.
The latest inclusion in this list is Dakishna Kannada's son of the soil D V Sadananda Gowda, who has reportedly agreed to feature in the Kannada movie 'Chella Pilli' directed by Mangalore's Tulu actor-director Sai Krishna.
"The story of the movie, and the role of DVS is interesting and suits him, so we discussed it with him and he has agreed to take it up," says Sai Krishna.
Vijaya Raghavendra and Aishwarya Nag play the lead roles in this movie. Interestingly, Sadananda Gowda is playing the role of a former CM!
Another former CM, B S Yeddyurappa was to act in 'Bhooloka Rakshakan' (Defender of the Universe), a movie on Lord Ayyappa.
Former CM R K Hegde acted in 'Marana Mridanga', Praja Shakti movies, J H Patel, D B Chandregowda and Mahima Patel acted in 'Avasthe', while Kumaraswamy acted in 'Shri Siddaganga Mahime'.
Other politicians and ministers who have acted in Sandawood movies are Katta Subramanya Swamy, R Ashok, C P Yogeshwar, Madhu Bangarappa and others.
Daijiworld's popular photographer Dayananda Kukkaje also appear in a small role in this movie, incidentally, his role is journalist !
