Mangalore, Oct 23:
Congress president Sonia’s open challenge to reveal the details on using the central fund of Rs 80,000 crore to the state was categorically countered by higher education minister and district incharge C T Ravi at a press conference held at the Circuit House here on Tuesday October 23.

Ravi asserted that Sonia Gandhi is not the right person to ask details on central funds to states as it is a grant allotted as per the policies of a federal nation. "It is the duty of CAG of India (Comptroller Auditor General of India) to demand for statement of accounts," he said.

"The money was not released from any person's pocket in the center, rather the amount is due to the state on the basis of a federal system," he added.

He counter-attacked the Congress calling it the root cause of all corruption and said that corruption started when Nehru was the Prime Minister of India. He termed Sonia’s remark on the state government as 'Bhagavadgeeta in the devil's mouth'.

"The state BJP will hold protests from November 10 to 20 on three different issues viz. corruption, price rise and internal security to counter terrorist activities.

BJP Leaders Anwar Manippady, Padmanabha Kottari, MP Nalin Kumar Katil, MLC Monappa Bhandary among others were present at the press meet.

I find it so absurd whenever this C.T.Ravi holds press meets in Mangalore with a bunch of goons like KPB and others and barking at the wrong tree.

He doesn't seem to bother about the development of Coastal area, and has done nothing because he has such a poor background as politician not at all suited for our region.

He is only barking during the press meets, and cannot come up with facts and figures on any matter to substantiate his foolish claims before the media and to fool public of Coastal area.

I see that he has no vision for the coastal region, and we must reject such persons to be district in-charge right away.

He has a very small brain inside his head in the first place.

Mr Ravi is way to small to even take name of Sonia Ghandhi,he is a petty poltician who is made it by evoking communal centiments in chickmangalur.Only agenda he had then was Bababudangiri. Its ridiculous small time politician like him talk about central fund. His dear friend Mr Sunil has lost two election, now its Ravi's turn as Bababudangiri issue is dead one how will he manage this time.More over as a minister he has hardly done anything nor is any time left to do as election nearing.Kumaraswamy of JDS has taken oath to defeat Mr Ravi in next election as he is spoken bout his personnel life that is marriage with radhika life in public.Moral of the story Mr .Ravi can stoop to any level just to gain some cheap publicity.

    Dear Ravi Anna,

Forget that matter. Center has not even given 8000 Crores to the state. No need to give importance to foolish people's statements.

Mr. Ravi, don't be rude... every common man has the right to ask the details about money released for development projects.

If you don't wish to disclose it, there is something fishy.
