Udupi: Sharada Utsava Celebrated with Grandeur at Santhekatte

Udupi, Oct 24: Shree Lakshmi Venkatesh Temple, Puttur organized a grand Sharada Utsava at Santhekatte here on Tuesday October 23.

The procession which started from LVT Temple moved along Ambagilu, Shree Durga Parameshwari Temple, Ashirwad, Santhekatte junction and finally ended with the immersion of the idol in Kallianpur Swarna River.

Large number of devotees took part in the procession.

'Huli Vesha' by Venkataramana Friends Kallianpur added special attraction to the procession.
 
Uppoor Sarvajanika Sharadostva Samiti too celebrated their second year of Sharada Mahosatva with great enthusiasm. The celebration which began on October 21 came to an end on Tuesday October 23, with a grand immersion procession.

The procession which started from Shree Mahabaleshwara Temple Chittari, Jathabettu, moved along Uppoor Junction, NH 66, Kudrubettu, KG Road and finally ended in river Swarna.

Varieties of tableaus, Thalimu, Chande, Nasik Band, Killu Kudre were taken in the procession. Colourful fireworks and daring stunts by fire artistes added more aura to the procession.

President of Sarvajanika Sharadostva Samithi, K Raghavendra Rao, vice president, Padbhanabha U, Mahesh Kotian, Prashanth Mayadi, secretary, Dayanand Uggelbettu, were present.
