Techie Dies After Temple Chariot Falls on Him

Bagalkot, Oct 24 (PTI): A Bangalore-based software engineer was fatally injured and two others sustained minor injuries after a temple chariot fell on them during a festival at a village here, police said today.

Vittal Bablad (36), son of a priest, died on the way to hospital, they said.

The deceased had gone to Lokapura, about 40 kilometres from here to witness the 'Lord Venkateshwar Rathaotsav'.

The two other injured were walking by his side when the chariot fell on them, they said, adding that they have been hospitalised and have suffered minor fractures.

It was not immediately known as to how the chariot fell.
