Nigeria to Build Wildlife Park

Lagos, Oct 25 (IANS): Nigeria plans to build a sprawling wildlife park with elephants, tigers, gorillas and lions, among other animals, as its residents to attract tourists.

The plan unveiled Wednesday will see the creation of the park, as well as a five-star hotel for visitors in Nigeria's oil-rich Delta state.

Nkem Ajufo, general manager of the state tourism board, told Xinhua that the park was one of the many projects being planned to boost tourism.

Also in the pipeline are amusement parks, theatres, hotels, event centres and museums.

She added that the government will create an enabling environment for public-private-partnership in developmental projects.
