Kundapur: Vibrant Procession Marks End of Navaratri Festivities

Kundapur, Oct 25: The nine-day Navaratri festivities came to a magnificent end with a colourful procession here on Wednesday October 24.

The procession, flanked by thousands of people, was taken from Kundeshwar Temple and Venkataramana Temple via Shastri Circle. Puja was offered.

The beautifully decorated idol of Goddess Sharada were taken amidst chants and joyous dancing by the devotees, accompanied by the beating of drums.

Huli vesha was a special attraction wherein artistes entertained the crowds with tiger dance and stunts.

The procession came to an end with the immersion of the idol in Panchagangavali river.
