Probe Ordered Against Deve Gowda, Krishna, Yeddy in NICE Case

Bangalore, Oct 25 (PTI): Lokayukta Court here today ordered a probe against three former Karnataka chief ministers -- former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, External Affairs Minister S M Krishna and B S Yeddyurappa, on a complaint alleging irregularities in the Bangalore-Mysore expressway project.

Judge N K Sudhindra Rao directed Additional DGP (Lokayukta) H N Sathyanarayana Rao to conduct the probe against the three and 27 others in connection with the alleged corruption and illegalities in the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project which was awarded to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) and its sister companies.

The complaint was filed by social activist and entrepreneur T J Abraham. Others against whom the probe was ordered included  NICE Managing Director Ashok Kheny, former Minister R V Deshpande, Congress leader D K Shivakumar, Public Works Minister C M Udasi, ICICI Bank Private Limited, industrialist Baba Kalyani, William Weld, former Governor of Massachusetts USA and Richard Hangan, another US national, who was part of the consortium with which the state had signed an MoU for the project.

Abraham had named 105 people in his complaint filed against NICE and its sister concerns also alleging illegal grabbing of farmers' lands for the project.

However, the judge ordered probe only against the 30, excluding the rest. Another former chief minister N Dharam Singh is among those excluded from the probe. The court, in its nearly 500-page order, further directed that a wing be constituted comprising not less than four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySP) for investigating the matter against the 30.

For those who still believe in voting one party over the other, further proof that they are absolutely the same.

Kejriwal is trying to fight this corruption, you have an opportunity to join him and improve the state of the country.

Instead if you play the BJP/Congress game you will be left with more of the same.

"There should be a blood revolution." comments Jam Mangalore.
The corrupt politicians do not fall off the sky during the rains. They are elected reps. of the people. The government is corrupt but who forms it? It is the same people.
So as are the people, so are the leaders. Have you seen how mangalore airport was at the beginning ? there was no bribe or harassment. It was the elite passengers who started giving tips to helpers to make life easy and started a chain reaction of bribery and harassment.
Look at any Que , there are always people who jump it or bribe their way in. So dont blame the leaders alone, let each Indian start the cleansing from his own home and stop bribing and evading tax.Indians are a stench wherever they go because of their selfish and mean nature. If your so called blood revolution really starts I dont think there will be any one left because all are thieves with very few exceptions.

when you blame\call Krishna a thief, you should also call gowda and more so Yeddy a thief. Yeddy has gone to jail where as other two have not yet gone to jail. You are very biased in your opinion and at the same time you blame others being biased.

    1) The election expenditures of candidates, lust of humans for luxuries & dowry causes corruption.
    2) The states are not willing to spend minimum/maximum election expenditures for the candidates so that the candidates may free from corrupt practices once elected from their constituencies.
    3) A candidate or the party will spend maximum amount of money to win election at any cost from his pocket or from the party. Consequences: from where did the candidate or the party bring hugely spent money?!
    4) Without favoring the businessmen can any party survive in the present scenario or contributions from the masses Possible?!
    5) No political party comes to consensus in the parliament for election reforms.
    6) Luring the voters with cash & materials such as TV, grinder, moonkuthi, sari, etc., etc., is a biggest error & the tidal waves of votes swinging in favor of candidates which leads a candidate to indulge in corruption to recover the same.
    7) In the Grass root level political parties Agents are working for canvassing, who is paying money for their survival & daily wages?
    8) For canvassing a huge gathering & for party convention a huge amount of money is required. Who pays that expenditure? For example one or two business men will pay the expenditure but surely they will recover this amount from the party or from men through flavorings.
    9) All the above points were discussed in the parliament & a clear consensus has not been reached on the floor of the house to pass the bill.
    10) Even after with all above draw backs the UPA favored Lokpal Bill and passed the bill in the Lok Sabha & sent to Rajya Sabha. The majority headed by BJP in Rajya Sabha did not pass Lokpal bill.

Now you see how corruption has no barrier. It has cut across all party lines. All of them are guilty. Their crime is being a politician in India. The verdict will be to absolve all three because if one is d guilty he will pull down the other two. After all they were continuing the good work started by Congress.

Deve Gowda brought Ashok Kheny from US and was responsible for opening NICE,,, everything was fine when he was in power and Kheny was "greasing" his hands....

Moment Gowda lost power Kheny stoped "greasing" Gowda's hands and strated "greasing" SMK's hands...that made Gowda very furious and he started his tirade against Kheny.....

Kheny is a smart guy (studied in KREC!!!) knows how when to grease whose hands....

That is exact reason Deve Gowda is in a great hurry to make his Son CM of Karnataka again....

There should be a blood revolution. Just kill all these rascals with their families.Wipe all these corrupt people from this World. Almighty has a special gate for their entrance. India will never come out of these bastards hands. They are having all the money and loop holes to come out and screw the bloody ordinary fools like us. They have enough money to by the votes and win the election. I pity on these noble fools (Like Anna, Kejrawal, Bushan, Kemka,so on)who are sacrificing their family and their life for this fools paradise. People who dupe others will be given shawls,Padma awards and they are projected as serving people.

First they are looting, from that they are distributing chocolates to the people to show they are generous and getting more ads to loot more. Great India. India is developing. Can anyone tells me in what sense. If anything is wrong in small dealings income tax people ruin our life. What about these Crooks & Criminals. This what Gandhi intended in his life for Independence. They loot inquiry will go on for years at that time either they will die or they will come out innocent. End of the day their family will be the beneficiary. Please any one can spread some light on this.

They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed in India'. Our politicians have worked hard to prove Churchill right.

In fact, It is Devegowda finally took legal path telling the SC that the initial agreement between State of Karnataka and Nandi/BMIC indeed changed by BSY Govt.@ one point then BJP MLAs were given 5* Hotel treatment @ 5 * Hotel Bangalore by KHENY which was written in Media and talk of oppn party.HD Deve Gowda sworned foe of Kheny insisted and produced original agreement to court about NICE/NANDI agreement but Court still not convinced. If probed by CBI, this BMIC project could bring doom to certain politicians, particularly BJP politicians of the past four years.BMIC PROJECT may be considered another 2G/CWG scandal.Few Months back one of the leading farmer and leader of the RTI activist related to against BMIC project, brutally murdered by Kheny men but till date there was no justice have been delivered to deceased's family inspite of evidences!!!

Of three above pictured, Deve Gowda Ex PM India, sit in dharna for occasion against NICE/KHENY.NICE Project, initially marred with court proceedings by PIL and petitions of Farmers against present and past GOvt But @ no point HC/SC either gave a interim stay or permanent. The project, which joins MYSORE-BANGALORE expressway indeed had land grabbings more than what it it required to road use.Kheny,NICE'MAN'in fact used more land adjuducant to road for real estate (Resorts/Hotels/Recreation Centers etc)from the farmers forcefully .But some are how, there could be written contract between State of Karnataka and NANDI/NICE Infrastructure Company for using extra BHoomi for real estate to tally investment what I could gather after seeing Court Observation. However,HD DEVEGOWDA,accused KHENY and BSY who colluded in grabbing fertile land of farmers. Therefore, this case will not have any impact on anybody whatsoever.
