Kuwait: Fighter XI Lift Jenny Cricket Cup

Kuwait, Oct 29: Jenny Cup 2012, organized by Denis Barboza, Anthony Cruz and the Modern Star Boys, was held at Sabhan-Ground on Saturday October 27.

Matches began early in the morning with the knockout preliminary rounds between 16 teams that participated in the tournament.

This was then followed by the semi-finals and the final which was keenly fought between Golden Wing and Fighter XI.

Fighter XI reached the finals by beating Liones XI in the semi-final, and Golden Wing by beating by Kaico. In the final, Golden Wing won the toss and sent the opposition in to bat.
 
Fighter XI with major contribution from all players managed to score 121 runs in the allocated 10 overs. The top scorer was Mohsin 32 runs .

Golden Wings who needed 122 run to win were all out for 112 in 10 overs, with Neebon being the top scorer with 32 runs.

Chief guest James Paul, manager of Al-Mail General Trading & Cont Co handed over the trophies to captains Mustaq of Fighter XI and Tanish of Golden Wings. They were congratulated on playing good cricket.

Jenny Cup is an annual tournament organized by Denis Barboza and Modern Star Boys. They thanked the 16 teams for taking part in the tournament .
