Mangalore: Thieves Loot Valuables Worth Rs 7.5 Lac

Mangalore, Oct 30: Thieves decamped with valuables and cash from a house located near Balmatta New Road here on Monday October 29.

The thieves entered the house by breaking the front door and decamped with gold ornaments weighing 20 sovereigns and worth Rs 5 lac, and Rs 2.5 lac in cash, altogether amounting to Rs 7.5 lac.

The house owner Mustaq Ahmed was away at his relative's place in Manipal and the incident came to light when he returned home on October 29 night.

A case has been registered in the Bunder police station.
