Dubai, Nov 5: Wilson Olivera Nite Pre-event meet was held here at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, Dubai on 4th November 2012. The Pre-event meet was organised by SMMKC, Sharjah to update on the agenda of Wilson Olivera Nite which is scheduled for Friday, November 23, 2012 at Shaikh Rashid Auditorium (The Indian High School) from 6.30 pm onwards.
The President of SMMKC, Sharjah, Lawrence D’Souza, Alfred D’Souza, Mark Denies D’Souza, Joachim Menezes, Joshep Mathias and Uttam Menezes made their presence at the dais.
Lawrence D’Souza presided the meeting by throwing a warm welcome to the gathering and in return bid for the full support from all the Mangalorean and Konkani associations in the UAE who were invited for this upcoming event. He also stated his complete confidence in receiving the same During the Pre-event meet, the show tickets (AED.100/-, AED. 50/-, AED. 30/-) were inaugurated by Lawrence D’Souza, Alfred D’Souza and Joachim Menezes. 60% of the show tickets were booked on the spot during the meet by various Konkani organisations across the UAE.
Popularly known as ‘Sangeeth Sardar’, Wilson Olivera has over 800 self-composed songs and has six music albums to his credit and 31 successful musical shows led by him, hosted at Mangalore, Bangalore, Mumbai, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and once again the latest extravaganza hitting a prime venue in Dubai, which will be his 32nd Music show.
The key people of various Konkani organizations across UAE, artistes, singers, and musicians mage a huge and remarkable presence for the Pre-event meet of Wilson Olivera Nite.
Ronald Olivera, the master of ceremony for this mega event apart from briefing the gathering on the agenda and the purpose of this meet, which is primarily organised for Wilson Olivera Nite, Dubai, he also assured the upcoming event to be a super-thrilling event for all Konkani music lovers.
Speaking to the group, well-known Mangalorean entrepreneur Mark Denies D’Souza stated that the mega event of Wilson Olivera was planned a year back and finally taken shape under the leadership of Uttam Menezes and Ronald Olivera. He also affirmed completed confidence on the success of the event banking on support from all Konkani associations across the UAE. Adding to it, he also offered a word of praise to renowned music composer and director Adrian Gomes, the music director for the said show and the famous music troupe of Ramiro Mascarenhas, for the orchestra, who both will ooze additional charm to the star of the night “Wilson Olivera’. Further highlights of the show are lent by renowned singers like Rony D’Cunha, Rathan Castelino, Pradeep Pinto, Prasanth Pinto, Joseph Mathias, Zeena Pereira, Preema Rodrigues and Nisha Lobo.
Apart from the musical treat, the other magical moments of delight will be contributed by the very popular comedy group of the Konkani world 'Me-Mo-Ri', along with famous Lavina Fernandes. The magic will continue with outstanding performances of very prominent dance troupe ‘Ocean Kids’ led by truly artistic choreographers Vinod Sequeira , who will make you tempted to groove to their mesmerizing dance moves & styles.
Former President of SMMKC, Sharjah, Uttam Menezes, adorned further words of praise on Wilson Olivera by stating that the musician is amongst the top Konkani lyricists. Apart from being a highly talented personality in Konkani music, he has already won the hearts of Konkani music lovers through his contribution of meaningful lyrics and his melodious voice. Quite evident a reason it is for Wilson Olivera’s show to be chosen by SMMKC committee. To prove this evermore, Wilson Olivera and his team are all geared up once again to captivate the Konkani hearts in the UAE on 23rd November 2012.
Joseph Mathias, another well-known entrepreneur and a well-wisher of Wilson Olivera, paid credit to the commendable talent of the great Sangeeth Sardar ‘Wilson Olivera’ while Noel Maschranes, one of the prominent organizers in Dubai, assured complete support from his association for the upcoming show.
