Kuwait: Comedy Circus, Indian Idol Stars to Entertain at Indian Carnival

Kuwait, Nov 7: Having previously presented Sunidhi Chauhan, DJ Akbar Sami, DJ Aqeel Nite and various other entertaining shows under the banner of Indian Carnival and Indian Fiesta, Hot Stepper is now all set to host another extravaganza.

'Indian Carnival 2012' to be held on November 16 at American International School, Maidan Hawally, Kuwait promises to be full of laughter, music and entertainment for one and all.

This year, the event will feature Krishna Abhishek and Sudesh Lahri of Comedy Circus fame who are sure to send audience into peals of laughter; and Poorvi Koutish and Kaushik Despande who won India's hearts in the famed reality show Indian Idol.

Hosted by Kuwait's popular anchors - Nita Bhatkar and Merwyn Pereira, the event will be full of fun, prizes and surprises.

KRISHNA ABHISHEK

Krishna Abhishek is an Indian film actor and a stand up comedian. He is also a dancer in numerous dance reality shows, including, Nach Baliye (Season 3) (2007) and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Season 4) (2010). As a stand up comedian, he made name after he participated in successive Comedy Circus seasons, Comedy Circus 2 (2008) and was a wild card entry in Comedy Circus 3 (2009) with Sudesh Lehri, apart from Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo (2010) and Jubilee Comedy Circus (2011). Krishna is nephew of Bollywood actor Govinda (actor) and cousin of Television actress Ragini Khanna and Soumya Seth.. He made his film debut with Yeh Kaisi Mohabbat Hai (2002), and went to act in films like Hum Tum Aur Mom in 2005, Jahan Jaaeyega Hamen Paaeyega (2007), Aur Pappu Pass Ho Gaya and recently released Bol Bachchan (2012). His next movie act will be in film Mr. Money to be released by the end of the year. He has also played the lead in the TV series, Sautela (Doordarshan) in 2007.

SUDHESH LEHRI

 
Sudesh Lehri is an Indian stand-up comedian, film and television actor. Though already known in Punjabi films and television, he achieved acclaimed when he became one of the top three finalists at The Great Indian Laughter Challenge III in 2007. He was born in Amritsar, whom you can catch up with style Main Thappar Marna Tere & "Teri Maa Kaa Sakinaka".

He started his career with Wagah 2007 a punjab movie. He did work in several Punjabi and later ventured into several hindi movies which includes a super hit movie Ready in 2011. Beside movies he is a good comedian and appeared in many comedy TV shows. By Wildcard Entry Sudhesh Lehri and Krushna Abhishek with tadka Mellisa on 14 November 2009 entered as Contestants in Comedy Circus 3. Recently he along with Krishna won the reality show Kahani Comedy Circus Ki.

POORVI KOUTISH

18 year old Poorvi Koutish who hails from Chandigarh was crowned with the title rockstar for her powerful performances during the Indian Idol 6 competition. Trained in pop and country she does amazingly well with old classic melodies and hindi songs as well. One of the top 4 finalists from Indian Idol 6 she now sings professionally and has done a number of stage performances as well. Even though Poorvi never ever imagined to be in the Top 10 list of Indian Idol 6, she went on to have an amazing journey in the singing reality show on Sony Entertainment Television. She was the first contestant on the show to win Close Up Performer of the Day, that too twice! She happened to be the only girl to make it to the Top 4 and that’s quite an achievement. Though the girl missed the bus to the finale of the competition by a whisker, she is glad that she was part of such a big platform and looks forward to having a great career in music.

KAUSHIK DESPANDE

25 yr old dashing lad from Mumbai, Kaushik Deshpande was another hot favorite and in the top ten at Indian Idol 6. Singing since he was 8 years old, he turned professional at the age of 12. He is trained in classical and semi-classical with his mother and comes from a family that has a musical tradition of over 450 years. Kaushik had  also participated in the Zee Saregama – 2009 and have been performing on several concerts across India and abroad.
