Mangalore: Centre should Hand Over Ayodhya to Hindus: VHP International President

Mangalore, Nov 8: Vishwa Hindu Parishad international working president Champath Raiji on Thursday November 8 urged the central government to pass an order to hand over the disputed land of Lord Rama in Ayodhya to Hindus.

Addressing a press meet here, he said "After excavation was done by the Archeological Survey of India at the disputed land in Ayodhya and both Archeological Survey of India and a Canadian scientist through radar photography technology found that an ancient Hindu temple existed there well before 1528. Even the central government had assured the Apex Court that in case any historical objects related to Hindus are found, it would be handed over to Hindus," he said.

"No Indian Muslims are related to Babar in any way, but they were all Hindus who were converted to Islam forcibly," he added.

"Ayodhya is a cultural center of Hindus since ages and the central government is planning to make it an Islamic center for which it is ready to give 100 acres land. This will not be allowed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad," he declared. He urged the Muslims to withdraw the case and surrender the land in favour of Hindus.

He further said that the proposal of the central government to open more abattoirs under its 12th Five Year Plan should be withdraw. "This is the land where Lord Rama, Krishna and Gauthama Buddha were born and sale of meat or shedding of blood cannot be tolerated," he said.

'Make public records of China War'

Raiji also urged the Indian government to make public the China aggression records as it has been 50 years since China declared war on India in 1962.

Raiji said that there are slim chances of any person associated with the war being alive. "The present generation of Indians has every rights to know as to what went wrong during 1962. If the records related to 1962 war are published, we will get to understand the incorrect steps taken from our side which would help the current army chief," he said, adding that VHP demands Indian government to make the records public.

Speaking on infiltrators from Bangladesh on Indian soil, Raiji said that those infiltrators should be identified by the Indian government and the right to own land, right to vote and government employment offers in India for infiltrators should be withdrawn.

Asked about VHP’s stand on the upcoming India-Pakistan cricket match, Raiji said, "Let there be cordial relationship between countries in the world, but national prestige should not be compromised."

Krishnamurthy, divisional secretary, VHP, M B Puranik, Sharan Pumpwell, Keshava Hegde among others were present. Later Mangalore Divisional Baitak was organized at the premises of Kadri Shree Manjunatheshwara Temple.
