This is a good move by AIR INDIA. My point is that foreign airlines should be allowed to commence flights from middle east to Mangalore whereby passengers from Europe and US can make use of these flights. I travel from New York to Mangalore a lot but I have to travel via Bangalore or Mumbai which is time consuming as well as money wise.

Even though nobody is from Gulf countries are interested to use of Air India Express anymore, coz the high fares then even international flights, delay arrival and departures no good inflight service etc...whatever fare commuters are paying is not worthy of Air India express service...best of luck Air India Express...look into any other option for be in the sector...I hope this airline will not suffer like King Fisher and before that they will come with good idea...

As I said many times earlier, AIE monopoly on Gulf/Mangalore sector must be curbed for the sake of Gulf based Coastal NRIs who are a exploited for so many years and in so many ways.

Services at Mangalore airport should improve as well, in view of the recent incident involving customs official and Gulf passenger which is not taken seriously as yet.

These flight timings are scary for local flights. There are no proper roads to the airport to and fro. The flight to Bangalore will depart from Mangalore at 1715 hrs and the flight from Bangalore to Mangalore will leave Bangalore at 1915 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Mangalore-Mumbai-Mangalore flight frequency has also been increased to 4 days with arrival in Mangalore from Mumbai at 1615 hrs, and departure from Mangalore at 2115 hrs to Mumbai.

Always delay and high fares bothering the passengers. We need to invite foriegn airlines to curb the disadvantages of monopoly market for better services to community at large. Please join hands for improvements and international flights.

Good move but not helpful to the gulf passengers as most of the middle east flight timing is early morning i.e. 4 am. Therefore, the flight departing from Bangalore around 11 night would be helpful.

    Thanks Mr. D' Silva

It is fine. But let us all work together to get the foreign airlines commence services between IXE (Mangalore) and countries in the Middle East initially and moving gradually opening the sky to airlines from Europe and America.
