Bangalore, Nov 13: On behalf of the Archbishop Dr Bernard Moras, Fr Ronnie Prabhu, PRO, Karnataka Region Catholic Bishop’s Council, has issued a media release conveying best wishes to citizens on the occasion of Diwali.


The media release states:

On behalf of all the Christians in Karnataka, and particularly of the Catholics, Archbishop Bernard Moras sends greetings to all who celebrate Diwali, particularly our Hindu brothers and sisters.

We pray that as the light of God overcomes the darkness in us so at this feast the darkness of communal discord and of corruption and discrimination will be overcome and eradicated from the hearts of all people.

    Its a good trend to greet the masses. Hopefully other social, religious leaders can emulate and foster good inter community relations.
