Dubai, Nov 14: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates (BDNE) one of the premier association for Billawas in UAE are all geared up to celebrate their 15th anniversary celebrations on Friday November 16 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sheik Zayed Road, Dubai which will be a day-long fun filled event starting from 9.30 in the morning to late evening.
Well-known dignitaries who will be arriving tomorrow from Mangalore will be part of the celebrations, including National Award winner, writer, film producer and actor Sadanand Suvarna, managing director of GB Builders, Ganesh Bangera, vice-president of Guru Charitable Trust, Chandrashekar Nanil, and many more. Renowned artiste Vidwan Suresh Attavar has already arrived and is busy preparing various dances and the most awaited “Koti Chennaya” dance drama.
The day-long entertainment programme includes various forms of dances, skits, music, singing and many more.
A Tulu Yakshagana ‘Kaarnikadha Biruveru’ by Chandrashekar Dharmasthala and Ramesh Poojary, Kulshekar, both from Billawa Community Mangalore will be one of the attractions. Chandrashekar is part of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Yakshagana Mela and plays a major role there. He has performed in various plays in India and abroad, recently in USA. Ramesh Poojary is from Sasihitlu Yakshagana Mela playing major roles there. Both of them will be presenting ‘Kaarnikadha Biruveru’ along with local artistes Vasu Bayar, Kishore Gatti, Jagannath Bellare and Prabhakar Suvarna.
A sumptuous buffet lunch, felicitations to guests, members and children who have excelled in studies, games and other fields, grand raffle draw, games, prizes are all set to be part of the day-long programme.
