Mangalore, Nov 14: The annual parish feast of St Raphael Church, Badyar was held on Wednesday November 14. The feastal Mass took place at 10 am.
Fr Richard Coelho, the administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital, Kankanady was the main celebrant and the preacher. He gave an inspiring homily on the theme "Lively faith and creative parish community".
Being Diwali holiday, the church was packed with devotees. Lively liturgy, heart touching and melodious singing and "Blue Brass Band" Badyar added joy to the celebration. The parish ICYM put up games and made it fun for the crowd.
Fr James D'Souza, dean of Belthangady, Fr Joseph Lobo, director of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Fr Stany Goveas, dean of Episcopal city, Fr Robert Crasta of Fermai, Fr Thomas Sequeira, superior of SVD house, Kirem and all the deanery priests of Belthangady were present for the Eucharistic celebration. There were 23 priests present.
Rudolph D'Souza, PPC vice, president welcomed and Valerian Crasta, PPC secretary thanked the donors.
Fr Felix Monteiro, parish priest of Badyar thanked the celebrants and the faithful.
