Udupi: Fisherman Goes Missing in Kodi

Udupi, Nov 16: A fisherman who left home for fishing went missing near Kodi in Hejamadi on Thursday November 15.

The missing has been identified as Dhada Mohammed (65), resident of Dhada house in Kodi.

Mohammed was into fishing business for the past three years in a troll boat belonging to Karunakar Karkera of Hejamadi.

As per the information received, the owner of the boat had declared holiday on account of Deepavali, but Mohammed left home from his daughter’s house stating that he would go fishing.

It is suspected that Mohammed might have slipped off and fallen into the sea while cleaning the boat.

Search operation is being undertaken by coast guards along with the police.

A case has been registered in Padubidri police station.
