At least one road must be named on his name for what he has given us with all values.

    Hi Meena, Vishwas & Veena,
This from an unknown person to at least Vishwas & Veena and hardly known to Meena.
I had first heard Wilfy and Meena singing at the Tisri Cheet Concert at St. Philomenas as a PUC student. Coming to Mangalore, during my college days (at St. Aloysius) I seldom missed a Konakani Drama where Wilfy and Meena would sing. Later, first landing up at Bombay then and moving on to Delhi, kept me away from attending to liveWilfy nights but I did keep in touch with the songs as some of us orgaised few fucntions for Managloreans in Delhi under the banner Kanara Catholci Association. As Secretary of Kanara Catholic Association way back in the eighties, it was my dream to invite Wilfy to Delhi and he had agreed too. However, that did not materialse and Wilfy did write to me a nasty note.
Now life has brought me back to Mumbai but the hustle and bustle of Mumbai has not given much time to really keep a track on development of Wilfy's music, his meaningful words and appropriate message in his songs. His sad demise in 2010 was silently mourned and prayed for.
Today (6.12.2012) a friend of mine (Freddy Mendonca) in a mail asked me to read Daijiworld and I read the news of this 250 Wilfy Night and I thought I will write my coments. In Wilfy we had a great exponent of Konkani lyrics. Whether in praise of Mangalore (Sobit to Distai Manloresahara.... or in honor of saintly mother Theresa.. they are all fantastically woeven.
People like Wilfy are born once in century perhaps. While wishing the fucntion all the best, I keep him in prayers. May his memories last forever and may his soul Rest In Peace.

I congratulate Mr. Ronald Colaco for sponsoring this event. Arranging such a mega event involves heavy expenditure. Konakani artistes I am sure can not arrange for such huge investment. Function at TMA Pai Hall will provide grand ambiance. Konkani World is unable to find another lyrisc and music composer of Wilfiabs Caliber. His family deserves support to highlight Wilfiabs legacy. Children of Late Sri Jerome D' Souza too have brought out DVD of songs of their celbrity father. That DVD was sponsored by Mr. Ronald Colaco. So Jerome D' Souzas fans were not only able to enjoy his songs but also were delighted to see performance of his talented wife and children in that DVD. When I watched that DVD I indeed thanked Mr. Ronald Colaco for that. I wish this particular musical night too a grand success. I also wish that enthusiasm of Wilfiabs family will get further boost because of benevolent support of sponsors and wide acceptability of Konkani music connoisers.
