Phnom Penh, Nov 20 (IANS): "India is a big part of my plan," US President Barack Obama told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Tuesday after he was congratulated for winning the presidential election.

Obama made the remark when the two met and shook hands briefly on the sidelines of the East Asia Summit in this Cambodian capital.

Separately, National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon met his American counterpart Tom Donilon for 90 minutes, an Indian official said.

    Mr. Obama, please exploit our production line, encourage and establish tiny, small and medium industries in the smaller cities and towns of India so that our production multiplies in volume and the export surpluses the import.
    In reality we are good at going abroad and hunting for profitable goods and importing them from China and the West. Further the Chinese and the Western come to India and find new markets for their products or manufacture that is demand in India. Why not our entrepreneurs and businessmen do the same, produce and export more goods then import. We should set up world standard cottage industries in all the rural region and villages of India especially for export and the Govt should help them with technical education, finance and technology.
    We have 1.20 Billion human being of the world then why can’t we exploit at least 35% of the younger population of the rural India to start export oriented production units. Chine is strong because they have huge surplus fund all over the world where as India, due to export deficit, are the debtors all over the world. Moreover, our explosive population is depleting us. Simply dreaming of becoming a super power will do nothing about it.
    Come on, ACT, act now! Jai Hind!
