Bangalore: Police Crack Bank Robbery Case, Nab Four

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore

Bangalore, Nov 20: Four persons were on Tuesday November 20 arrested in connection with the robbery and murder at Corporation Bank branch at Hesaraghatta Main Road here on Monday November 19.

Addressing a press meet here on Tuesday November 20, police commissioner Jyothiprakash Mirji said that among the arrested are two from Bihar, one from Chattisgarh and another a local.

The arrested are Dinesh Kumar Singh and Vikas Kumar Gupta from Bihar, Premkumar from Chattigarh and Imran, a local. Among them, Dinesh is an engineering dropout based in Bangalore.

The arrests come less than 24 hours after the incident took place on Monday night. An armed robber had barged into bank and opened fire, killing one, and made away with Rs 15 lac.

Police seized the money stolen as well as a revolver from the accused.

The four had planned to rob the bank to make quick money. It was Dinesh who entered the bank with his face covered with a cloth. He downed the shutters and threatened the staffers and customers at gunpoint. He even ensured that they hand over their mobile phones before committing the robbery.

He opened fire at Muralidhar,  a civil contractor and manager of a nearby petrol bunk who was a customer at the bank. He was injured on his right shoulder and later breathed his last in the hospital.

Why ISMAIL, doesn't we have enough illegal infiltrators from PAK & BANGla to create nuisance/hatred between our people????

Mr UMMAR, Reagarding biharis, being a resident of Udupi i know few things about them. Do you know what is their role in spoiling the students in Manipal??? they supply drugs to students & weapons like revolvers to antisocial elements, since it is available easily for 3-5 thousand Rs. in Bihar. Few months back Udupi polce had arrested few bihari students for possessing revolvers while they were look out for buyers.

Within India people from any state can live in any other state but what about the criminal minded people from other states who indulge in such activities in other places ? If you see the crime news in Mumbai ,you can easily make out the origin of such criminals.

No doubt we have to praise our State Police Department for nabbing culprits. They would have granted gallantry medals had they killed one or two culprits in shoot out like situation to give justice to Late Muralidhar & his surviving family Members. I think our Police Department running short of face cover cloth since they might have kept it safely to use the same for our few State Politicians soon, else they would have covered the other three criminals faces too

@Jigmig: where there is a will there is a way is absolutely right!
So you see, if you really want things to be done, you easily get it done!I hope that in future too the police will do what they have done regarding this case: "quick action"! Think how much better it is to have cases solved so quickly!Of course, it's not easy ALWAYS, but you never know until you put your heart and soul in it and try real hard!!

Congratulations to Bangalore Police who are generally quite efficient and smart in catching criminals. To those who always curse Karnataka state (actually BJP govt) - Karnataka has been and continues to remain one of the top states w.r.t. to development statistics better than many other states. Please remember Lokayukta couple of weeks ago permission was granted by Lokayukta to file FIR against a popular Congress CM, JD(S) CM and Yeddyurappa ex-BJP for land grabbing under NICE (Bangalore-Mysore expressway).Karnataka BTW also has one of the first and best Lokayukta Acts in the country drafted by late Ramakrishna Hegde of the original Janata Dal.

Excellent job by Bangalore police. I am proud of you.

Now the thing is for our judiciary system I mean court, how many years/decades will take to punish these culprits or to release due to no evidence!

Tax payers do remember your taxes may go up further to take care of these peoples food and other expenses. Crime rate is increasing much faster than property rate.
