Mangalore: DC Dr Channappa Gowda's Transfer Deferred

Mangalore, Nov 21: The state election commission has temporarily withheld the transfer of deputy commissioner Dr N Channappa Gowda.

In the wake of revision process of voters' lists, the transfer of N Channappa Gowda should not be done as he is also the district election officer.

Dr Channappa Gowda has been transferred as the director of KSRTC, and the present director N Prakash will be replacing him. The order was issued on November 17.

    This is good news for us . We want him in Mangalore as he is sincere in his work and wanting to give a facelift for the Mangalore City . Bharath Lal Meena ( Ex D.C ) did good work in the City and later the Builders wanted him to be transfered . Then Ponnuraj another good and strict DC was also transfered because he was doing good development work for the City .Finally , the best DC we had was Channappa Gowda . And now they are after his transfer . The main Culprit is a politician whom we all know who is into Township Development and real estate.
