Mangalore: Auto Expo Attracts Consumers with Array of Cars, Two-wheelers

Mangalore, Nov 23:
The Auto Expo-2012 organized by Manipal Ace group was inaugurated at Karavali Utsav grounds here on Friday November 23.
 
K N Vijayprakash, CEO of zilla panchayat inaugurated the expo by lighting lamp along with the others dignitaries on the dais.

K Lakshminarayan, group general manager, HR, MRPL, K N Prabhu, CEO of Manipal Ace event management group, Raghuram Shetty, regional manager of State Bank of India, A V Krishnamurthy, manager at Indian Overseas Bank, and Vinod Sherlekar, chairman of Frontline Group of Companies shared the dais.
 
Adressing the gathering, Vijayprakash said that the automobile industry has had a vast growth in the present scenario. "The city has potential to grow in various sectors. I am sure the expo will be beneficial to people," he said, wishing the event good luck.
 
K Lakshminarayan in his address said that the automobile industry needs to primarily identify customer needs in order to attain growth.

Auto brands like Skoda, Mercedes, Hyundai, Maruthi Suzuki, Nissan, Vespa, Honda, Hero, Ford, Yamaha, Bajaj, Chevrolet and others are part of the two-days expo.
 
K N Prabhu welcomed the gathering while Rochelle compered the programme.

    It is good to see the vast growth of automobile industry with modern technology and the number of multiplying number of vehicles on roads.

    But the important thing to note is from the time the automobile engine was invented, we have been pulling our vehicles with force, from a stand still position till the destination. Instead, if we make use of the weight on wheels itself as a pushing force, we can save more than 75% of fuel.

    A concept change can save billions dollars, eliminate or reduce the health hazardous air pollution and peace disturbing sound pollution, which can create comfortable environment.
