Mangalore, Nov 26:
As many as 25 students of Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training, enraged by the alleged negligence of the Institute management, approached the city police commissioner’s office here on Monday November 26 seeking help.

It is said that students who enrolled for pursuing diploma in aviation, hospitality, travel and management course were supposed to be getting ‘in-flight training’ by April 2012 as part of their academic curriculum. However, 8 months on, the senior officers have still not paid money to Jet Airways for providing hands-on training to students.

A student who has been waiting since April told daijiworld that it is a very important training, but has been deferred by the Institute without valid reasons, she grieved.

"No one is responding to our woes, and hence, about 25 of us have decided to meet the city police commissioner and seek justice through him," she said.

Another student, Sumaya, said that the one-year course involves in-flight training. "I had paid the full fees of Rs 1,40,000. But the in-flight training has been delayed since April this year. We fear that we may remain unemployed, as the age criteria to get into aviation related jobs is 25 years," she said.

She added that in-flight training manager and the regional manager in Mangalore branch have not given any favorable answers to them.

One of the ex-employee also told daijiworld that women employees were subjected to mental harassment and a complaint had been lodged at Mangalore north police station. The inspector is investigating the case, sources in Bunder police station (north police) said.

The students met the deputy commissioner of police D Dharmaiah on behalf of police commissioner and accepted the memorandum. When daijiworld contacted Dharmaiah, he said that the students have complained of not being issued certificates even after completion of the course. He said the person concerned will be called to his office and the matter will be addressed.

Mr. sunny.I am current batch student.wen i was watchin tv came to know frankfinn is givin fake certificate.when saw certificate in my own eyes, was stunned some certificate i printed and some are given hand written.and best part is of certificate is there is no signature of centre head and authority. my first point.second is as you said a new CH who is honest discipline as u told..how can she admit infront of all students and parents its not RECOGNISED,that really shows what is frankfinn and why people dont get placed.you sit in bangalore do u have any idea wats goin around how many faculty we have.we pay nearly 196000 for wat.so u can go in business class n flights or when you come to mangalore stay in suite. you have any idea how many students are ther in current batch, when it come to galileo there are 15 computer with 30 students sadly only 5 is working.this kind of fecility you give to students its been 2 weeks.
as you told you came to mangalore. did you ever bother to ask the current batch people what kind of problem are you facing. instead of that you just kept on saying sheela sheela. so think twice before it gets worse..i dont have space for your icm and inflight.hope you will no sorry i want you to look forwad about it and give the fair decission. to current batch old batch and sheela.

Mr Sunny, u cant blame Sheela maam. U wer in bangalore right, den hw can u say that she was late for classes? We students know her better. She was always there for us. And she is not the one who is instigating us. We are old enough to know whats happening around. Im surprisd why havn't u mentiond that u bribed some of the students to withdraw the case??? And by the way Frankfinn s not only facing problems in mangalore but even in some othr places. And let me make one thing really clear to u WE ARE D ONES WHO CALLED SHEELA MAAM FOR MORAL SUPPORT. SHE DID NOT INSTIGATE US. Ask any other student aswell

With all respect to the authorities, and being a ex staff (Training and Placement utive Mangalore)would just want to make this one comment . In a public forum mentioning the name of individual person as to ma-line is of bad taste especially we being from the hospitality sector. With regard to the dedication discipline followed by Ms Sheela as a Trainer in so far as my observation goes i can vouch for. She not only was before time at the office , She would personally take interest to guide and groom the student enforce it on them and see that it was carried thru even in here absence.and students at frankfinn undergoing and undergone the training under Sheela Ma'am would vouch for this i am definite. She would also be willingly available at all time to cover up for any trainer absenteeism. With all the ups and down during here service with frankfinn She was one trainer who did not pass it on the students but enforce the best of training on them . In mangalore after office hours going on house calls till late at night is to put yourselves in a vulnerable and risky situation n especially being an area dominated by communal policing.

I am associated with frankfinn for the last seven years and been a faculty at Bangalore and now working as RDH (Regional Delivery Head) and looking after training/delivery for the entire south region. In the past seven years I have seen many students making their carriers in Airlines, Hotels, Travel Industry and various other service industries. Undoubtedly Frankfinn training is the best and is the best Institute in the line. As far as the issue at Mangalore is concerned, the real fact of the case is that Sheila has been working as a full time faculty for the last four and a half years and was not following the office timings. She used to come late and leave the centre as soon she has finished her class. As a full time faculty she is supposed to be in the centre full day adhering to the office timings. She has also spread the rumours that she was not paid her salary since four months. Let me clarify that it is a patent lie. I have never experienced this in my seven years of time with frankfinn. The new CH had joined at Mangalore. She was honest & strict disciplinarian. She objected and directed her to observe the office timings and did not allow her to mention the wrong timings in the attendance sheet. As a result Sheila’s ego got hurt and she put down her resignation threatening to teach a lesson and see how frankfinn would function in Mangalore. She tried to misguide and instigate the students, that their in flight would not happen. I myself went to Mangalore to address this issue & came back to Bangalore today morning. When I met the students in Mangalore & appraised them about the facts & assured them of the in flight training, the issue got resolved. After this, Sheila contacted the current batch students and mis-guided them that the certificates issued by frankfinn are fake. It is worth mentioning here that, these four and a half years, Sheila did not find any fault with frankfinn, while she was enjoying her full salary and working only for few hours. All of a sudden when she was asked to work as full time faculty, she suddenly, she has started finding all faults with frankfinn which is self explanatory. It is very unfortunate that faculty and & few of the ex staff members for their own selfish reasons & personal vendetta are playing with the career of the innocent students using them as pawns to settle their personal scores with the company. I hereby put on record that all these years we have been providing Jet in flight familiarization to all our students in aviation courses & all certificates issued by frankfinn, ICM, Galileo, Jet Airways (In flight), etc., are genuine. All the students are like my own children and I hereby advice them to apply their own mind and see through the game of Sheila & others and not get used by them. In my seven years with frankfinn & in education industry, I have never come across any company more honest and transparent than frankfinn. It is all false propaganda being carri

Education is made business these days, this is mainly due to increase in no of schools and colleges. privatisation of educational institutions is also one more cause for it.Effects of it are like two sides of a coin, one is more people can able to study and get degrees and second one is they concentrate only on intelligent students, they make them as group and they are taught by professors for getting better results, leaving average students who are being taught by junior lecturers. This is similar example to "RICH getting RICHER and POOR getting POORER".Universities in many countries are offering dual degree if they study in that university for just one year, but actual course will be for three or four years, this is only means for getting money. Now a days parents are in illusion that more is the fee ,much excellent is that institution,it might be true in some institutions but it is not true with all institutions.some institutions make profits by offering limited seats with more fee and some institutions make profits by offering more seats with less fee.All educational institutions may not be like this, some may be genuine.Government should take steps to avoid this

A pertinent point missing in comeents is that the Air Hostess course is not always in the approved list of edu courses identified for banks education loans.Banks do review the policies from to time. However there may be chances of many students pf Franklin Institute might have borrowed loans for persuing the menetioned course. In that case the repayment of loans dampens as the present situation coming in the way of completion/certification of the course. Most of the students are not capable of repayment of loans in the absense of job.Local banks to note this point. They may takeup this issue in periodical BLBC meetings too which will go a long way in brightening the job prospects of students.

Some say that even after paying a large amount of fees they have not got proper and enough training. There is nothing mentioned in the media of the person who own FRANKFINN INSTITUTE OF AIR HOSTESS TRAINING. The pictures by Ramesh Pandith shows that the students both men and woman are not happy. The institute is obliged to deliver its commitment to the students. What is the point of having just theoretical learning without the practical on-board flight training? Hope our Police Commissioner's intervention would help resolov the issue and enable the young talents to achieve their goals.

In DK, every now and then fraud /cheating/unauthorised economical activity scandal croping in the news paper!Concerned authorities need to check peridically and if warrants could be asked to shut down any firm/institution/coroporation which are doing activities illegally .We have fake Docs/clinics,fake educatiinal institutions/fake recruiting agency/fake investment agaency etc etc but higher administrators are unfazed and hapless citizens were made to suffer.Due fast development of Managalore City, such kinds of cheating/ frauds could be anticipated. Now FRANKLIN INSTITUTE OF AIRHOSTESS TRAINING REGISTERED IN A APROPRIATE AGENCY?IS IT AFFILIATED TO IATA?In the BILLBOARD or in the cirtificate there is no such affiliations!!!!Only FRANKLIN COO could shed light on all these confusions.
