Mangalore: Dubai-bound Monday Night AI Express Flight Cancelled

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (PS)

Mangalore, Nov 26: The Dubai-bound Air India Express flight from Mangalore, scheduled to depart on Monday November 26 night has been cancelled.

The flight was scheduled to take off at 10.30 pm from Mangalore International Airport.

Sources at the airport informed Daijiworld that the flight was cancelled due to 'operational reasons'.

However, it is said that the passengers were intimated about the cancellation only at around 7.30 pm, when most of them had already arrived at the airport. The last-minute cancellation left many in the lurch, especially those who had come from far-off places.

The passengers will now be flown to Dubai on Tuesday November 27 by the 8.50 am flight.

Sources said that the flight was reportedly cancelled due to unavailability of the pilot.

Mangalore Airport passengers are given a raw deal and there is no end to it. File a case against this airline. Take it to consumer court and form a association. Air travellers users association etc. This kind of lack of customer care can only happen in Mangalore. Jago Grahak Jago

Due to Traffic Problems If Passenger arrives Airport well before Flight departs but just after check in Counter is closed, the passenger concerned is allowed to travel nor he is allowed to travel in next flight in the case of Air India Express. Normally Emirates Airlines allowes to travel the passenger if he arrives late. Air India Express made us to make altogether new booking paying full applicable charges and made me to cancell the ticket through which I could not travel and return is only the Tax amount and nothing. Now if Flight is delayed and all scheduled tasks are cancelled who will make good the losses passenger made to bear.

What about hiring Airport Taxi drivers at least on such cases, after all they do consider themselves not less than that of Air India Pilots !

So we Saudi expariates hopefully saying Insha Allah shortly we also see a bright signal from any one air lines. So it is my request to all expariates from Saudia at least to comment and show your openion in this regard, by sitting silent mother also not giving a milk to the child at least cry to get some thing. thank u daiji also express your will in this regard.

Its so sad that the AIEflights get cancelled so often due to operational reasons. I had a similar experience in July and haven't got my refund yet. Sent them e-mails customer care 4 times and also tried calling the phone numbers provided, but no response. Can anyone guide me as to how n where can I get my refund. I was told by the person from AI office, who informed me regarding the cancellation that I need not do anything, the money would be refunded to my credit card if I didn't reschedule the ticket as the flight cancelled. Hence I took a different airline and still waiting for the refund. I had paid AED. 1499 for a one way ticket Dubai-mangalore.

Such a highly influential Air Line Company but can’t organize better Personnel Management to find alternative solution well in advance? It shows how our AIE Employer and Employees are well organized when it comes to operational business. Simply they don’t realize the standby cost of an Air Craft even if they have 40% passenger capacity per Air Craft. And then they need all kind of Employees facilities with International Standard but when it comes to serve the people they simply says this is India and we are Indians too and we follow Indian Traditional Serving Method

it has become a usual thing for air india to come up with such dramas. Anyways flying on these flights are aint worth no good service onboard. the flight attended treat as if they are flying us for free. But people from mangalore or around have left with no other option to fly directly. I suggest is take is take via flight from mumbai or blore. and fly by Jet, emirates or air arabia.

Really dont Understand whats up with this lack of Pilots thing. 2 of my relatives and some friends who passed out as pilot struggled for more than 4 years in India for work & again back to US or Philipines & Australia and doing some odd jobs again. So who gets these pilot jobs then ?
