A couple who had been to Kukke Sri Subramanya temple as devotees, left behind a 11-month-old baby boy at the temple premises here on Monday November 26.

The incident came to light when people found a the baby crying out of hunger around afternoon near the outdoor of the temple.

The temple authorities soon informed the police, who carried out search operations for the baby’s parents till evening, but all efforts went in vain. They later handed over the infant to Mangalore baby care center.

There might be any number of reasons the parents or anyone who had this baby could not look after it any longer. Thank God, the child is left alive in a place where it would be found and looked after. The baby being looked after for nearly 11 months shows that the parents might have been helpless. I pray that the child is adopted into a good family.

Its look very silly for us but for true parents not so easy to take such painful step. Parents might have opted to safeguard child not for themselves.

No mother want to abandon her own child and here as per the write up in Daiji, it is the couple who had been to Kukke Sri Subramanya temple as devotees, left behind a 11-month-old baby boy.

It might be a vow, or under which circumstances the child was kept in the temple, only the couple knows it very well.

We wish all the blessings and good care to the child and pray that one day the child will unite with the parents.

Look what happened here! Just few days ago there was big issue in Kinnigoli. where are those NGO's & Child welfare organizations. If someone took this child home and taken proper care, then all these organizations would have come up with all issues.

Which is better to destroy or to keep in safe worship place. Atleast the temple priest/staff/devotees may have compassion on the left child to nourish. Parents or who ever they brought the child may know God will protect the child.
Wrong in the eyes of Law but humanity wise may be.....but fact is one life is saved.

Peaple harp about only baby girls being dumped , should have look at this. Its not exactly a gender problem. The world we live now , is more competative , expensive , often cruel . Surge in illicit relationships , teen pregnacies , lack of proper healthcare and funding ...... Its sad to see defenceless child dumped like this. Peaple talk about curbing child marriage , what about early prengancies , teen relationship outside marriages. Once girl become pregnant she aborts it and dumps it fearing recupulsion from society. As population going exponential , we need more foster care to take care of this situation.

Thank god! they did not harm the child atleast. Hope child will reach safe hands and taken good care. If the child belongs to those people who left the baby, I think 'at the end' they did a good thing. But hope police and authorities look for the real parents of the child.

This shows how irresponsible we Indians are. In case any such concerns, these babies can be handed over to Baby care centers.
