Udupi: Fakebook - Woman Claims Bogus FB Account Opened in her Name

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (VM)

Udupi, Nov 28:
Facebook travails never seem to end. In yet another case, a woman has alleged that an unknown person opened a fake Facebook account in her name, using her identity and photograph.

Mamatha Kini in her complaint stated that her actual account is in Kannada but a mischief monger opened a fake account in English and used her name and photograph in it.

She alleged that the person has sent friend requests from her account and even uploaded obscene pictures.

"I had complained to Facebook regarding this and thus the account was closed. But, later again some miscreant opened a fake account and is misusing it in my name," she said.

A case is registered at city police station.

This case reminds me of hacking of my hotmail account by a miscreant few months back.He changed the password first and sent emails to some of my friends stating...."I am stranded in London Airport due to theft my wallet containg cash and Credit card.I require atleast $2000/-.immediately.Please reply to this email soon after which I will let you know how to reach me".My friends in Dubai, London and Bangalore called my Qatar Mobile phone and were shocked to know I was never out of Doha during that time! There are habitual hackers-May be for fun, gain or experimenting.
Lesson is "DO NOT OPEN MAILS FROM UNKNOWN CONTACTS".
Hotmail Team helped me in re-issue of same account with new password.
Banning FB has no meaning.Every network has some problems which can be solved

Dear All, there is no need to Ban this social site if we all use it in effective manner without misusing. being NRI this social site helped a lot in many ways to keep in touch with my old buddies and loved one's. imagine people like us who are living life in abroad can help to maximum utilize this social site.yes there are people who misuse it, so it doesn't make sense to ban this social site for such kind of people.

Facebook if used in a right way works perfect,fb has already enforced strict privacy issues, however teenagers ignore them a lot & instead make a show -off by uploading pictures & waiting for likes & comments. the more likes & comments the more they get tempted & exposure risk is maximum at this point, rarely does cybercrime cell involves until the case gets more pressure. in this instance i wud rather the account & create a new with ed friends whom i know. keeping profile to custom works clean.

Rakesh Shetty belongs to Ancient India when Gold was cheap. Nagesh Nayak is busy organizing KJP perhaps ! Any new change is welcomed with its plus and minus. When television was introduced there were sceptics But today Shettys and Nayaks have them at home. Facebook has its dangers, use it with respect. Community and individuals must protect them and finally ARAKSHAKA DALA is there ! I am amazed that Mrs Kini is able to register the case. Its tough usually. May be she knows the SHO. May be the Judiciary too.

Why cant ban this useless ,uncultured social network in india. It will spoil many student life and young generation. Now a days so many people edicted to facebook and they are always infront of the PC only. They wont spend the time with their family members. That is the reason so many relations are broken within the family. And the elder people are not happy(frastated) without spending time with their children and grand childrens.

FACEBOOK MUST BE BLOCK AND BAN IN INDIA.

THIS WILL CREATE HUGE DAMAGE TO YOUNGSTARS AND PUBLIC. CHILDREN'S, STUDENTS CAREER WILL ALSO SPOIL BECAUSE OF THIS.

NOW FB HAS TURNED TO BECOME A DAILY ROUTINE OF ALL. WITHOUT THIS NO ONE CAN SURVIVE. BETTER PUBLIC MUST SKIP THIS ATTITUDE AND CONCENTRATE ON THEIR OWN WORK.

EVERYONE MUST SPEND MOST OF THE TIME IN READING BOOKS,WITH FAMILY MEMBERS,MEDITATION, YOGA ETC. HOPE THIS WILL HELP TO ALL IN FUTURE. JAI HO.
