Udupi, Nov 28:
 Daijiworld photojournalist Hemanath Padubidri has bagged the first place in the state photography competition organized by Chayachethana an amateur photographers club in Shimoga.

He won the top honours for his photograph capturing the spirit of a Kambala event on lens.

The prize distribution ceremony will be held in Shimoga on December 13.

This is the fourth award bagged by Hemanath in various photography competitions held this year.

Also, Janardhan Kodavoor, photographer with Vijay Karnataka Kannada daily, bagged the third place in the same event under 'rural life' category, for his photograph capturing fishermen casting their net.
