Puttur: Mounesh Vishwakarma's Play Bags First Place in State-level Contest

The students of Sudana residential school have bagged the first place for their play ‘Uttara’ in the state-level science drama competition. The play has now been selected for south India-level competition.
 
The competition was held at Maharani Government DEd College in Mysore on Tuesday November 27.


Mounesh, Kavitha, Swara

The play was directed by Daijiworld photojournalist Mounesh Vishwakarma, and created by Kavitha Addur.

Students Swara Bharavi Ulaya (Class 8), Gautham Chaitanya (Class 9), Namratha (Class 8), Amoga Varsha (Class 8), Deeksha PM (Class 8), Thilak Nidhi (Class 9), Agamya Jattanna (Class 9) and Nasiha (Class 8) played various characters in the play.
 
Teachers Prathima and Gayathri contributed their support in the play. Vijay Harvin, school convener and Shobha Nagaraj, headmistress guided them.

The science drama competition was organized by the public education department, state education research and training department Bangalore and by government teachers education university, Mysore.

The top four teams in the division-level competition had participated in the state-level contest.
 
Sudana school will now take part in the south India-level competition to be held from Decemebr 12 to December 14 in Bangalore.
