Bellary: Janardhana Reddy to Contest in Assembly Polls

Bellary (Ktk), Dec 1 (PTI): Former Karnataka Minister and mining baron G Janardhana Reddy, lodged in Andhra Pradesh jail in connection with illegal mining case, is all set to contest the Assembly elections in Karnataka due in May next year on BSR (Congress) ticket.

Janardhana Reddy was arrested in September last year by CBI in connection with the case. "Janardhana Reddy will contest next Assembly polls as candidate of Badava Shramika Raitha Congress BSR (Congress) either from Bellary, Kushtagi or Chitradurga constituencies. He is yet to make a choice from where he would contest," Bellary MLA G Somashekara Reddy, brother of Janardhana Reddy told reporters here.

Somashekara Reddy said BSR (Congress) President B Sriramulu would soon send in an affidavit to CBI in this regard. "We are confident that Janardhana Reddy will contest the election because people remember him as a "good" person. He is a victim of political conspiracy," he said.

Sriramulu had visited Janardhana Reddy on November 28 in Chanchalaguda Central Prison in Hyderabad and discussed about the elections, he said. The mining baron turned politician had appealed to the CBI special court in Hyderabad to release him on bail to make it possible for him to contest the elections, he said.

Pseudos, Yeddybis not worried about BJP MLA's or follower from BJP ministry bcz their term will come to an end in few months. They are like product without guarantee. The value of MLA will only after new election. So don't worry about how many Sheeps will follow Yeddy? But worry about how many will win after election.

Dinesh Poojari....I did say that but BSY do not want Shettar govt fell down due to BSY factor because he belongs to same Shettar's community. Here the fact is if this govt falls for the reason of BSY, then the vote bank of Yeddy may backfire.I think Yeddy moving forward very very cautiously.More than 70 MLAs from BJP ready to move provided tickets to contest Assembly election are made available. Most of them ing KJP/Congress party and finally one try to JDS also.Congress is ive in accommodating outsiders!! With out BSY all remaining MLAs of BJP knows that their future in politics is not bright.Even for Haveri Convention few MLAs and Ministers of BJP may participate/share dais with BSY.ONE IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT FROM BSY AND BJP IS EVIDENT THAT BOTH PARTIES ARE OPTION KEPT OPEN IN CASE OF MERGER OR ALLIANCE GOVT!!!!BSY VIRTUALLY CRIED AND BJP'S REACTION TO BSY's QUITTING CAUTIOUS AND NEVER UTTERED A WORD AGAINT BJP INSTEAD ISH/AK/LK only!!!!

The BJP seats and votes are always for sale.He is in jail but only his money was used to buy seats and votes to form the first ever BJP government in south. When Eddy was the leader ,Reddy provided two crores rupees for every BJP seat candidates in Karnataka. Now let him us this money to buy each vote in Bellary or chitradurga and no doubt he can win. The operation kamala was another cash deal for BJP votes. Every BJP vote has a money value,so pay and and buy it.

First the LOOTED -cheated money from ILLEGALLY-IRON ORE MINING should come back to the sate exchequer with retrospective effect and with interest.
Damage done to nature has to be made good.
First clear your name from court/police with a clean chit.
Nothing comes easy- first know how to serve poor people not cheat them by taking their land illegally for mining.
All you movable -immovable property should be returned back.
all which is in the name of the family members.
First try to be a proper Nethaji like Ghandhiji before even thinking of politics.
what is the meaning of politics?
what is your goal and ambition?
to loot more an d more?
try to clear your name ?
Friend damage is done - scar is deep- your name is tagged.

    Ismail Perinje,

Election results prediction is not as easy as writing comments in this forum. You are free to write anything here.

Sometime back you used to say 'if yeddy quits BJP, 70-80 MLAs will go with him and that is the end of BJP'. Is that going to happen? No right? Merely 20-25 MLAs will go with him.

Everybody knows here you are a congress supporter and you want them to rule. But it may or may not happen. Most likely that does not happen. I am sorry for you. Congress tricks will not work. Congress party is trying backdoor entry now. They understood front door is not possible. Few months back Siddu, Parameshwara were telling CBI will arrest Yeddy. Why can't CBI arrest him now?

Having said this, even BJP will not get majority. BJP KJP coalition govt is what people foreseeing at the moment.

People are watching congress game play dude. People are not blind like you are.

From last was 65 years what was happening in this country to buy vote from poor people. HANA/HENDA was practiced by congress to snatch votes from poor people by spoiling them. Congress used to give 100 Rs 20 years back. Now congress pays 1000-2000 per vote. You are in KSA, may not be aware of these things. Where do you think looted money goes? Part of it is spent on buying votes and rest will be deposited in Swiss bank.

You are taking about 7-8% tilt in BJP votes. But 30 percent muslim vote will go to JDS and another 25 percent to KJP this time. Yeddy is already successful in getting few muslim leaders. Already few former MLAs of congress has decided to join KJP. Few more, especially NCP aspirants will join KJP very soon. Game has started just now. Watch out for more.

In between all these, congressmen are fighting like stray dogs. Soon Siddu's and BC Patil's group will erupt like a volcano when it comes to ticket allocation. KJP will become healthy competitor for Congress. Whole Lingayath community is behind Yeddy..!! If you have doubt, just ask anyone.. If congress is able to keep its deposit, it will be great.

Coming to the point...During Congress time voters are used to get HENDA/Rs 100/200, sarees etc etc but when first ever BJP Govt was installed in Karnataka, particularly during the time of OPERATION KAMALA by- election the price of vote gone up to to RS 1000/1500.This 'kanchaana'culture was solely brought by BJP and financed by ......everybody knows. After eating whatever from Bellary, BJP leaders conveniently avoided REDDY brothers!!! Don't worry people already decided to whom to vote and if KJP able to tilt (negative) 7-8% from BJP then BJP GOVINDA GOVINDA

If Reddy wins, then it will be a tragedy. People should not vote for corrupt politicians. Corrupt are in every political party and if people are able to differentiate between corrupt and non corrupt, then India will be a heaven on earth. These corrupt will try to win by money and muscle power and it is upto the people to unite and decide whom to vote. Hope Kejriwal will put right candidates in Karnataka and people of Karnataka will elect them if they are non corrupt and if they are willing to work for the people. People are fed up of Congress/BJP or Janata Dal. We want stable government in Karnataka which is non corrupt and which work for the people.

    Janardhana Reddy,

Inside the jail, just open your mouth and say 'I WILL JOIN CONGRESS'. Within 24 hours you will be in Ballary.

Robert Vadra, Chidambram, Sibal, Raja, Kalmadi, Sonia, Salman Khurshid, SM Krishna, Rahul, Chavan etc etc deserved same or more punishment than you are facing today. But all those people are in congress and therefore rescued by Sonia Gandhi. CBI is only for non-congress people. Within 2 weeks of Jagan Mohan Reddy came out of congress, CBI probe was initiated by congress. If Yeddyurappa has not split BJP, he would have been in CBI NET by now. Why can't CBI arrest him now? Sonia Gandhi and congress is curse on this country.

We welcome CBI probe on corrupt people. But why only against non-congress people?

But whatever "kutantra" this congress does, no result will come out of it. It will affect them in some other way. Very soon congress will lose its base in Karnataka and India. Internal fights will make them lose very badly in next election. Today few old congress people expressed their wish to join congress.

Gali Janardhana Reddy's release depends upon political equations.

Possibility 1: BSR Congress's pre-poll alliance (or merger) with Congress. If BSR Congress agrees to this, REDDY will be out in overnight.

Possibility 2: If congress wins good number of MLA seats requires BSR Congress's help in forming the next Govt. In this case Reddy will have to wait for 6-7 months.

Possibility 3: If congress is not able to form the next Govt. Reddy will be in jail for few more years.

All depends on Italy Madam's game plane. We common people will hope for POSSIBILITY 3.
