Mangalore, Dec 3: The temperature across the state has seen a drastic rise after one or two days of cold weather. Winter is away from North Canara, South Canara and Coastal region. The city recorded a maximum temperature in the whole state.

On Sunday, the city recorded a maximum of 35.1 degrees with a minimum of 23 degrees. The Meteorological department has informed that the temperature has increased by 3 degrees when compared to the normal temperature in the first week of December. On Monday and Tuesday, the temperature is expected to be around 34 degrees, with light clouds in few areas.

Honnavar recorded 32.9 degrees, Bellary 32.3 degrees and Gulbarga 32.2 degrees. Minimum temperature of 11.6 degree was recorded in Chamarajanagar in the state.

There is depression over Bay of Bengal and currently it is in the central Bay of Bengal and is predicted to deepen. This may bring moderate rain in coming 24 hours in few parts of the state.
